Pakistan whitewash England!

Another century by Saud Shakeel gave the Pakistan bowlers a good platform to work with, as their spinners ripped England's batting apart. Sajid Khan, the star of the show, took 6 for 49 in the 2nd innings, giving Pakistan only 50 to chase, which they did so comfortably​

T20 Emerging Asia Cup 2024

Faisalabad, 14 October 2024: The Pakistan Shaheens cricket team will begin its campaign in the eight-team ACC Men’s Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup 2024 against India ‘A’ on Saturday at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat, Oman. The tournament is set to begin today with two Group A fixtures as Bangladesh ‘A’ take on Hong Kong and Afghanistan ‘A’ lock horns with Sri Lanka ‘A’.

Usman Khan, who led the Shaheens in the ODI series against Bangladesh, will continue leading the side in the Emerging Asia Cup. The squad is almost identical, with a few changes from the ODI side. Qasim Akram has been announced as the vice-captain.

Pakistan Shaheens defeat India A!

A mix start by India A turned worse, as the Pakistan bowlers and especially their spinners dominated India after the powerplay. Even after Omair's early wicket, Pakistan looked ahead in the chase and comfortably steered the game home thanks to contributions from Yasir Khan, Usman Khan and later Qasim Akram, who bowled a very economical spell as well​

Afghanistan was in the front seat thanks to their openers, but some brilliant death bowling from Abbas Afridi ensured they only reached 159. Afghanistan kept their foot on the gas in the 2nd innings thanks to early blows by 18-year old Allah Ghazanfar. However with Abbas Afridi on strike in the final over, Abbas and Mohammad Hasnain ensured the Shaheens crossed the finish line with zero balls to spare
