Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Star sports sucking Kohli so much that instead of Hazlewood Kohli's name is displayed in the scorecard as a bowler

Zimbabwean born.
His dad was Zimbabwean, but Sam was born in Northampton. His family were living there while his dad played for Northants.

Also, the transformation of Sunil Narine from a tailender to a genuinely valuable opening batter in the best T20 league in the world has to be one of the most remarkable things I've ever seen in cricket.

Only 20 players in the world can be IPL openers at any given time, and he is one of them

while the moans about the IPL being a drag are justified, I have to admit the first few matches of the season are always really exciting and interesting to follow, with all the new team combinations and storylines, new narratives being formed etc

For me I have nothing much to watch other than cricket so yeah lets tune in and see how this goes.

The die hard IPL fan died in 2013.

Those younger days of 2008-2013 IPL was something else the excitement, build up all the razmataz surrounding the tournament, the buzz in the locality is nowhere to be found now.

These days its like you tune in watch some matches and thats it.

The first few games this season might make for an interesting watch- purely on the fact that we have had a mega auction recently. But, as Bigby mentioned, the die-hard IPL fan in me died a long time ago!

I would tune in on days when there's nothing to watch/ the last leg of the IPL.
