How unlikely may it seem, I think Ashes Cricket 2013 is still on its way to the announced November release. It is only my guess and it may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that they haven't pulled the plug yet. Simple because they can't afford that. The license is of Ashes 2013 and they can't...
That definitely won't be a problem in a video game :)
Besides that, I like some of his witty words and signature lines, not to mention a highlighted voice pitch :)
Indeed. When we talk about imitating the atmosphere of a T20 game in India (the noise, voices, packed grounds) we are only talking about adding more 'depth' to the game. The same concept goes with adding sub-continent commentators.
Though it might not be possible (neither a good idea, maybe)...
I think my comment about having a sub-continent commentator has taken a totally unexpected and different route.
My point of having at least one sub-continent commentator (I will always prefer Rameez Raja, or Ravi Shastri as the 2nd choice) was just for adding 'depth' to an already awesome game...
Continuing with the discussion, I guess it won't be a bad option to have some sub-continent commentators on the board. I guess, they will be comparatively easier to get (and cost-effective too - no offence). But more importantly, it'll add another dimension to the game.
On the other hand, I...
So, the statement, 'wait and all will be revealed in early September', actually meant, 'wait till September and we'll make sure you are trolled again. L-O-L" :rolleyes
bharathvn has a valid point.
Just wondering if this statement of Mike Fegan of having 'all the features of DBC'14 and more' can be challenged in a legal way, in order to compensate BA for any possible losses through misdirection and fraud? Not that I'm asking BA/Ross to do that, but ... you...
This is exactly what I've been saying through all this time. The release date will be announced in the last weeks of September and the game itself will be released in the last weeks of October (before November). From a marketing point of view, this is the safest BA could get into. I don't see...
Because Ashes Cricket 2013 has all the features of DBC'14 and 'MORE' :rolleyes
On a serious note, it doesn't really matter as BA hasn't gone all out on the marketing aspect - yet still they are pretty popular! Best wishes for them!
I agree with Cricket_Online. This is exactly what I said. DBC'14 should come at least 1 month before the Ashes. Otherwise, Ashes could seriously damage the DBC'14 sales.
Moreover, of what I've judged about the marketing tactics of BA and TB. I think - and I repeat - the release date will be...
Personally, I would like to have both the camera angles.
This evening I asked Ross whether there will be a 1st-person cam for wicket-keeping but he didn't answer it, so I think we're in for a surprise.
In case of career mode, the 1st person view will be my preferred position. I would love to...
As mentioned by Israr, you can bat in any camera of your liking, which includes the traditional broadcast/TV camera. Although Ross and BA recommends batting in the 1st-person or the behind-the-batsman view for a better batting experience.
The Bottom Line? Your choice!
The whole debate of release date and other such stuff has strayed us from the most important question, i.e.
"Do we really need a controller to play DBC'14?" :D
Honestly, I haven't quite understood the marketing tactics by BA an TB yet. But by judging by the last few pages, I am now speculating that the release date will be announced at probably the last week of September. The game will be released a month after that, i.e. the later half of October...
