Seriously people, we need to learn to accept other people's opinions. I am partial to Cricket 2005 because of the game play. I would rather have a simulation-type game than an arcade-style game. I know other people who disagree. I'm just pleased that we have two cricket games to bicker about...
Guys the demo is on the site and has been since 13:39 BST. There is no link on the main page, you have to go to the previous downloads from Brian Lara (like where we've got the movies from) and you can find the link there. The link for the commentary doesn't seem to work but I've already started...
Let's be fair. I remember in Cricket 2002 that you could dive over the boundary to catch a six and turn it into a wicket long after it landed. That certainly wasn't in Cricket 2004. With the huge amount of bugs that game had Cricket 2004 did address the most gratuitous.
I like how in one of the new Brian Lara pics the fielder is standing with his arms crossed while the batsman is slogging away. Perhaps they're playing out a draw...
You can tell that there is a lot of hostility to previous releases and while some of it may be spiteful, it is fairly justified. I don't want to say that we were duped into buying Cricket 2004 but the complete lack of any demos, publicity, ect on the product made it very difficult to get a...
I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem so I'm interested. When I'm playing a test match (or any first class match) and my score exceeds 600 it seems that the game crashes to the desktop at really random times. It used to happen only when I hit it for six but now seems to happen on any...
I recently sent Scatter a panoramic set of photos from Scotland's home ground at the Grange Club in Edinburgh. I can send them to you as well if you would like.
Okay, this is ironic seeing as I began this topic because I had never bowled a batsmen but I just managed to do it three times in one innings. Maybe HB managed to capture the frustration and luck of cricket quite well after all.
While we are on the subject of commentary, I might be able to lend my support. While I may not be any good with progamming I have recieved training as an actor and may be able to provide some decent commentary. I know it's a bit early on for that, but I thought I bring it up.
I admit that I have mostly been playing test cricket so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. However, it seems that when I bowl yorkers even if they are right on off stump the batsmen JUST nip them off their legs to third man. I've noticed they do that a lot as well.
