    Phillip Hughes 1988-2014

Haven't been on here for a while but I have to say I am just in complete shock, it still hasn't sunk in feels like a bad dream you will wake up from. Makes it even harder that he was one of my favourite players, and I have no doubt he would have been one of the greats as he had so much time...

    West Indies in India 2014/15

Why doesn't Dhoni bowl Bhuvi more at the death? His figures yesterday looked great because he didn't have to bowl any death overs. He bowled some really good yorkers in the series against us even though that was quite a while ago now. Kind of surprised Dhoni said he was happy with the bowlers, I...

The Art of Bowling in T20 cricket (international)

Yeah I agree with that, I've watched a lot of IPL and Champions League this year and its amazing how many ordinary spinners consistently can go out and take 3-20 from 4 overs. Just like Bedi said you just have to bowl and the batsman will make a mistake. Akshar Patel is the perfect example...

The state of off-spin bowling/suspect actions/doosra bowlers worldwide

What a joke, I find this really amusing that they are all of a sudden cracking down on actions yet they haven't given a toss for the last 20 years. Oh well, at least things are a bit easier for the poor batsman now..

A New Bat Invented That Doesn't Led Edges Carry To Slips

I know I'm a bit late on this but I find it hilarious that the batsman can continue to tinker with bats whatever way they like. If cricket is really a fair game between bat and ball (which it definitely isn't anymore) throwing and ball tampering should be allowed as far as I'm concerned.

    England's ODI squad

I understand that if you're talking test cricket but in ODI cricket I don't really think playing the short ball is that much of an issue. Look at guys like Bailey, Maxwell etc. don't have great techniques yet they excel in ODI cricket. Taylor has something special about him from what I've seen...

    India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Agreed, we can't just forget how abysmal England were playing previously. Sure they've gained some confidence from these wins but in reality they would have faced more of a test against Bangladesh. This Indian team just simply didn't want to be there, and who can blame them really? By the time...

The sad thing for me is having to endure watching these guys play Johnson and co. this summer, will they even make 50?

    English Domestic Cricket

Wow thats a massive win by Derbyshire, great way to start off the one dayers after a horrendous time in the T20s. Have watched a fair amount of the T20 blast this year and have to say I'm pretty gobsmacked at how England continue to leave James Taylor on the sidelines. Was pretty masterful in...

    Ball Tampering Leniancy?

I personally couldn't care less about ball tampering or chucking these days but I'm sure I'm in the minority. Anything to help the bowlers these days must be stopped...:facepalm

    General Cricket Discussion

Its a bit of a pain really, especially with the world cup around the corner as he bowls some really handy overs.

    India in England Jun-Sept 2014

What on earth is Chris Woakes doing in the squad? Hes another one of those mediocre players England could do without. From the few times I've seen him he just looks like a 130ks county bowler and his batting isn't going to be better than a number 8. They really do need to think outside the box.

    India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Is bringing Morgan back to captain a possibility? Had a look at his recent FC scores and he seems to have done decently this season, you're also bringing someone in whos had a lot of experience at international level. Given that their next test series is in like March next year or something, I...

    India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Wow, England giving it away here. Well done Ishant, kind of hope he gets 8. Kind of guttered we didn't get to tour England this summer instead of last year, pretty confident we would win.

Surely thats it for Prior, don't know who you bring in though apart from Buttler who else would be next in line?

Dhoni is almost embarrassing the guy by not giving him a couple of spells.

Wow, seriously why is Binny playing this game? That fifty last game is completely irrelevant now. I completely forgot hes even out there, Dhawan and Vijay are bowling ahead of him :facepalm

This is starting to feel pretty similar to the last day at Headingley against Sri Lanka.

Really happy the way Bhuvi has been playing in this series. Had no idea he was that good as a batsman, he is playing some really great shots. It makes me wonder how different the result could have been in the series against us if he played instead of Zaheer.

Why are they calling it abusing? Isn't it just sledging?
