Finally I found a way to edit the lineups in c2k5 although the process seems lengthy and tedious. It seems that the CPU picks the strongest 11 for its odi and tests,so if we want to include a player instead of another we can just increase the abilities and/or decrease the abilities accordingly so that the player we want fits in the squad.I have managed to replace Gough and bring in Simon Jones in the England 11 by this method.

The problems with this is that it will take a lot of time to make and we cant have different starting 11 according to ODI's or Tests.Comments and thoughts on this are welcome.Cheers.

Yeah, I think Prakash posted about this a few months back. It does seem a bit random though plus there are different default lineups for the different conditions. 3 for test and 2 for ODI.

I didnt know but it can be used to improve the lineups that we have currently as default.Ill try posting an English lineup soon.

I already knew this. But how come ,Shane Warne isn't chosen for the ODIs but is for the tests?

Interesting observation, ill try looking into it.

The lineups definately seem to vary for tests and odi's,but here is how I managed to get the correct ones(except perhaps Butcher in tests) for England.(perhaps some bytes may in a player may control his exclusive or preferrable selection in ODI or tests)

An observation I made is that even when I reduced Butchers abilities (batting) to 0,he was picked at number 11 in the test squad,so probably there is some byte which makes sure that he is picked in the test team, regardless of his abilities.

no offence, but i would like you to post all your findings in the "editing player
profiles" thread instead of creating a new thread everytime you find something.

there has already been 2 occasions where you have found something, colin has replied saying we already knew that / already found or something similar
and you have replied "oh sorry, didnt know that"

if you stick to one thread, then it will be easier to find things if anyone is willing
to make an editor. just my two cents.....

Hmm,ok.But I just thought that lineups were different to player profiles,so I thought of putting this in a new thread. But as you say,Ill try starting as few threads as possible and try adjusting things in existing threads.Cheers.

or the best way i think is to create a thread named "sids hex findings" or something
similar and ask a MOD to merge all your existing findings into it

I dont think thats needed in this case,as we can use this thread to post our findings on lineups and how to edit them properly, although Ive found a start to it.
