10th Match: England vs New Zealand at Jo'Burg

Well done Taylor, McCullum has been average with the gloves this tournament.

Bopara's already played 50 ODI's, didn't think he'd been around for that long tbh. Time certainly does fly.

Good to see Butler bowling well, he's using the pitch wonderfully well.

Been playing since the CB series in 2007 and then showed some talent in the WC where he actually played some really good innings. A completely different batsman to the guy he was then though. So much better technically it's not even funny. He's actually not looked bad technically in his last few innings, but just chucked his wicket away with terrible shots, like he almost did there. He must be due a score at some stage. He won't get one here, but he's due a big score.

Shot Colly :D WAG.

You've changed your tune :p

Pretty hard to continue to shower him with praise when he's been playing like he has since Cardiff. I do still like Bopara as a cricketer though, obviously, and I'm still backing him to have a very good international career. Hopefully he'll kick on next season in the Championship in Div 1 and show his class again.

Bopara doesn't have the right mental frame of mind to last in international cricket, or so I've been told by 2-3 England fans. At the moment I would have to agree.

Well I am feeling smug as I have always rated Collywobbles, even through his bad patch, when everyone was saying he should be dropped, and it looks like he is proving me right again ;)

Seriously though, unless Bopara has a score here, please replace him. Anyone will do, preffably Davies, surely Bopara has had enough chances England? :facepalm

Grant Elliott, the magic man. Probably the greatest South African cricketer of all-time :D

Don't fancy chasing any more then 180 on this pitch tbh.

Collingwood will always be one of my favourite cricketers. He's no Jim or James though.

Bopara was mentally strong enough at Lords, to make a hundred against Edwards on top form, on a bowler friendly pitch, with wickets falling around him, in his first innings at Number 3. He was in terrible form in the Ashes, but I don't believe it was a lack of mental strength that contributed to that entirely. He's no Paul Collingwood, but I don't believe he has the frailties of Ian Bell in the mental department.

Terrible shot from Bopara. He's been far too loose outside off-stump over the past few months, keeps playing that woft out-side off-stump. Terrible batting. Needs to get back to Essex over the winter to work hard with Graham Gooch I think. Just hope they don't pick him for the SA Test squad.

Any SA guys around here, can you tell me what that trumpet that plays every few overs is all about (the one that the crowd cheer?)
