The Nations League (officially known as WCC Nations League) is the top-tier international championship of Test cricket.
The event is organized by the sport's governing body, the World Cricket Conference (WCC) every two years.

1999 WCC NATIONS LEAGUE

The 1999 WCC Nations League is a 12-team cricket tournament played over the course of two months in five different countries. It is the first edition of the tournament.
The participants are divided into four groups of three with the winners of each group progressing to the semi-finals, and ultimately to the Nations League Final.

Canada, Guernsey, Nepal and the United States of America will serve hosts to their respective groups. The finals will be played in Germany - a neutral venue.
Living in the shadow of Berlin's Olympiastadion, The Maifeld will play host to the finals which have been unanimously awarded by the World Cricket Conference to Berlin.

Group A of the 1999 WCC Nations League consisted of Canada, New Zealand and Niue. All matches were played in Canada.

Brazil originally qualified for this group before being suspended from the World Cricket Conference and subsequently replaced by Egypt.

Squads

Each participating member nation was required to name a 15-player squad at the start of the tournament.

Lineups

Playing XIs were required to contain at least one capable wicket-keeper (:wk:/:wkb:/:arwk:) and four bowling (:arwk:/:bwl:/:ar:) options.

Format

The twelve participants were split into four groups of three; with group winners from each group advancing to the finals.
Group winners played in a straight-knockout finals format with the winners of two semi-finals meeting in the final.

All finals were played at The Maifeld in Berlin, Germany.
