Japan squad revealed
The Japan squad has been revealed for the 2001 Asian Cup with the fifteen man squad having two changes compared to the last team. The first change being Tomoyuki Tomohiko coming into the squad for Okabe Sho who an injury to his wrist ruled him out of the tournament. The other change was Yūki Hitoshi who has brought back in to replace Tsuchida Marihito in the fifteen man squad as they will hoping to get past the group stage for the second time with a group featuring the defending champions India, Bangladesh and debutantes China.

Yes sorry, I will admit a bit too quick and got told.

For the nations, that are aren't playing in November before the Asian Cup, I could throw a warm-up in Japan just to get used to the conditions and they would be against the local teams.
