Matches Posted 2015 Cricket World Cup | The End

Great start the tournament for Bangaldesh. Went with 4 seamers knowing that the pitch is known for good seaming conditions. Taskin Ahmed, what a great pick with his 4 wickets and helped well with Shahdat Hossain's 3 wickets.

The chase was not as well constructed as I had hoped. Most of the players got great starts but weren't able to take it on, especially Shakib who scored a fabulous 50. Great hitting from Mashrafe to finish the game in style.

You used a random line-up VC? :p

I though you were going to use the one I posted, the change in squad was for the upcoming matches. I didn't have to test Abdul Razzaq actually but still a good thing you played him.

And what the...no century against Uganda. :(

Only, I didn't see you post one. And I obviously wasn't going to wait forever.

And how often do you see someone score a century while chasing 135?

Taking Round 2 lineups in the thread. Stats have been updated. I'll be eternally grateful if you can do it within 48 hours. No pressure though.

Captain Can be dropped Or not ??

Netherlands-flag.png

I was extremely tempted to field a weakened team in the hope of chaperoning Italy into the next round, but that would be unsporting. Instead, time to try my hand (again) at picking the strongest team I can.

Derek de Boorder :wk:
Tom Cooper
Graeme van Buuren :bwl:
Ryan ten Doeschate :bwl:
Colin Ackermann :bwl:
Mohammad Wasim
Scott Kuggelijn :bwl:
Peter Borren :c:
Timm van der Gugten :bwl:
Ahsan Malik Jamil :bwl:
Dirk Nannes :bwl:

After a horrific performance against Afghanistan, changes had to be made. We've gone with two makeshift openers, but makeshift openers who did the job very well, followed by van Buuren at his natural three, and Tendo at four as our best batsman. Wasim comes in, which is a bit of a risk really, and Kuggelijn moves up to seven. Myburgh and Bukhari miss out to make room for Wasim and Nannes; two dual internationals with Full Member credentials.

Uganda-flag.png

Uganda will make no changes - what's the point? Mutyagaba did pretty well at number three, and Kamyuka smacked a big six, but otherwise there was nothing to write home about. Nsubuga, Kamyuka and Ssemanda will hopefully all add to their wicket tallies.

No point in changing a winning line-up. Will have to play unbelievably well to win this match though.
