Imagine if Shaheen had bowled to India in the 2nd innings after Pakistan batted first. He wouldn't likely have caused the same kind of damage. Dew changes everything, including the traction of swing. Maybe he could still have picked up the same no of wickets that he did, but India would've still won the game as they would've restricted Pakistan to a chaseable score and the dew gives them confidence to play their shots freely. We're seeing teams make a score and the chasing team wins it with many many overs to spare.
If Afghanistan win the toss and bowl first definitely an upset on the cards. Its imperative they dont choose to bat first (like what Nabi did against Pakistan and paid the price). They could've beaten Pakistan had they bowled first. The only time the "bat first" works is when you're playing a team like Scotland or Namibia.
