I was talking about ICC events. :rolleyes
There's still a big difference between the teams of WI 2018 WC Q and 2016 WI team that won the T20 WC. Context here helps, in 2016 Afghanistan weren't regarded as a decent enough team to upset the big teams as they are now, and they beat the eventual champions. WI's 2018 ODI team was probably one of the weakest in their history, and it was widely expected Afghanistan would beat them, WI themselves barely scraped through to make the CWC '19. However, T20 is a different ballgame, and I'd think Afghanistan have a slight upper hand beating WI on a slow Dubai track.

Afghanistan's batting has been a major disappointment for them off late. Probably because of the fact that Mohammed Shahzad no longer gives them those ridiculous cameos that he did in that 2016 WT20. On a Sharjah pitch this becomes a big worry for them. All it depends upon the venue they play. West Indies would still get an equal chance if they are playing at Abu Dhabi. I think Dubai is where Afghanistan would be a better side because of the slowness of the pitch.

MS Dhoni deserves a farewell for this WT20 2021. . He is the greatest wicketkeeper of all time. He should be selected and be in First XI ahead of Rishabh Pant. Dhoni's experience alone puts him ahead of Pant. Also, Pant is only a Test player. He can only defend and does not do well in limited overs cricket or IPL.
