2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - India (UAE/Oman)

YES :cheers

There's a lot commendable about this new team, Shukar Alhamdulillah. Touch wood.

As I'm sure people here are going to point at all the BS that's gone on in Pakistani cricket Twitter in the last few hours with Waqar, Amir, Shoaib et cetra, pretty much 99% of our ex-cricketers are tools. We can only hope that we're past those days. Our global representation should never be Amir-Harbhajan on Twitter, it should be Rizwan-Kohli on the field. We can only hope for that to be the norm and not the rarity.

In 5 years time they will become obsolete, the chest thumping ex cricketers. I have never paid attention or given them any interest. This goes on both the sides of the border. Akhtar, Gambhir, Sehwag, Waqar, Amir, etc... do not represent actual cricket. They only represent what some hyper nationalist want to hear. They only represent TRP and likes!

What a great win by Pakistan over Newzeland. The match was pure class and tense, well-fought Newzeland but Pakistan was in greater spirits this time around. Great to see the middle order taking the responsibility. I would like to special mention here about Shoaib Malik. How responsibly he built up the innings and with his batting stance, right from the start the intent of maturity was there. He has certainly learned a lot and become a Solid Batsman. I believe he should continue to the extent he is staying fit, the younger lot will learn from his experience.

Asif Ali has given a great response to his critics. He won the match for us with two sixes. When you are a bit down due to that bouncer for an over and then in the very next over you hit a smashing boundary to Boult on a similar kind of delivery, that shows what intent we are carrying in this T20 World Cup.

This is quite unlikely with Pakistan as we are mostly great in one game and very sluggish in the other one. Just one more match to go with and we will be clear to Semi-Finals :)

Pakistan is equally rocking with both bowling and batting. Its not easy to hit Haris Rauf with the kind of pace and variations he is delivering. Shaheen is already a nightmare for batsmen in the first over. Literally, Pakistan has surprised the cricketing world. The unpredictable tag is here. We surprise other teams when least expected. Kudos!

Nothing with respect to de Kock, just a statement to put out there,

Black lives matter.
White lives matter too.

As it turns out, every human life matters.

Shocking innings from Simmons that yesterday. 45 SR after having consumed 6 overs in a T20I? Was batting really that difficult?

Reg de Kock, does this mean he either sits out of the WC or agree to whatever is asked of him?

Dude. As a white life, I can tell you no one has ever questioned whether white lives matter.

Black Lives Matter, as a message, is an acknowledgment that black lives should be considered to matter the same as white lives. It comes from America where black people have experienced centuries of abuse; from literally being taken across the Atlantic to be enslaved to being murdered by police officers for having a bad cheque. In between there has and continues to be all manner of other violence, discrimination and systemic abuse.

It doesn't mean that only Black Lives Matter, it doesn't mean that Black Lives Matter more than other lives. Those kind of arguments are planted into discourse by people who would seek to undermine the message.

White people don't need anyone to go to bat for them/us. White people have used that bat on people all over the world to get to where we are.

I am not disagreeing to anything you just said.

Yes Whites might get a leeway in life.

But all I am saying is that their life matters as well. And so does the lives of black.

So all lives matters.

Thank you. I live in Canada and I've seen the same issues affecting the US here as well.

A few years ago we had issues where the cops could stop anyone in the street and ask for identification.

I had never been stopped once in my entire life until i was walking with a friend is mine who was black and me having never dealt with cops before was terrified. When we got free my buddy started laughing, he said it happens to him all the time and I was shocked

No one’s denying that.

I'm still laughing at the fact that people consider QdK's anti anti-racist stance a paragon of free speech. Some of the justifications that people of his faith only bend down to the Lord are beyond words in terms of the mental gymnastics.

Apparently the employers asking their bloke who has shown through his gestures on field that he values rhinos more over people of a certain skin color (who he also shares a dressing room with) is a violation of human rights and gross mismanagement from a corrupt board.

I'm pretty sure that there's a lot more to this, can't imagine that players would be happy sharing a dressing room with someone so uncomfortable with the stance that he prefers to not represent his country in a World Cup (being the star man and all that) to sharing solidarity.

Was very nearly about to post the text version of this. The All Lives Matter 'message' has only been a disrespectful and malicious attempt to obscure the real pressing issue at hand started by people in bad faith. For how egalitarian their message sounds, sure is convenient that the only time it crops up is in opposition to a credible and real issue instead of standing out on it's own for other urgent issues such as the refugee crisis in Middle East or the migrant workers issue there.

I think I started a big hallabu here I guess.

I never meant to go with the movement surfacing 'Black Lives Matter' or 'All Lives Matter'.

My thought was similar to what CK, Wasteyouryouth and others said.

What I just meant that if 'I' as a person will be at a spot where I have to make a decisive decision, then FOR ME, all lives will matter, without any bias.

If a black person will do something wrong, I will go against him because he is 'wrong' and not because he is black.

Similarly, if a white person does something shady, I will go against him because he did something 'shady'.

It was my personal opinion of how 'I' see the world.
