2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - India (UAE/Oman)

I don't want to exaggerate the discussion but Muslim lives in parts of India, China, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, UK, France, US and other countries where Islamophobia is at peak do matter and no one wants to take a stand against this racism, isn't it hypocrisy? Yes, I support Black Lives Matter movement but this ain't the only racism in the world on the basis people are killed.

I think BLM kinda encompasses all kinds of discrimination against all minorities. Obviously it started as a movement led by African-Americans, but it’s evolved into much more.

Who said they didn't want to take a stand against that?

The discussion we're having right now is about BLM, BLM encompasses every sort of argument against rasicm within it. Weather is white on black, Muslim on Hindu, Japanese on Martian.

To me when I stand (or kneel) with BLM. I am standing against every kind of racism in the world

There's quite a few people I'd like to reply to, but I have stuff to do. I might try to later.

I don't want this thread to become politics over cricket, but I think it is relevant given what has happened and it is worth talking about. I can understand the view that we should keep politics out of sport but politics is everywhere, you can't.

Also I don't want to be a white guy lecturing people about racism. One thing I love about this site is the chance to talk about cricket with people from around the world. I do value that opportunity. One reason I've taken greater interest in Indian politics is because of coming on this site.

I'm feeling engaged about this after having someone (Indian I believe), unironically tell me to 'imagine the outrage' if a quota system was used against 'so called people of colour.' I think reading that may have reduced my IQ. But that's what you get from going on Reddit.

And @Parth D I certainly didn't want to single you out and or suggest that you have bad intentions. You are someone who I always enjoy interacting with on here. I just think, as some others have pointed out, that certain statements can come across as being misinformed. Whether that is the intention or not.

Bangladesh taking on England in a T20I for the first time, and it's at a World Cup.
Wow! I can't believe that these 2 teams never played each other. Bangladesh have somehow got the better of England when it comes to ICC events for over a decade now if we do not include 2019 WC.

But, this is a different England side and they would surely have an upper hand over Bangladesh. Atm it seems very hard to predict the outcome.

I was shocked to learn this is the first time Bangladesh and England are facing in t20i
