DK is now 37yrs old and I was all for him in the past, as a youngster Tendulkar blocked his place in the team. Though now I wouldve preferred Ishan ahead of him, he is an obvious talent and future captain.

Though I’ve noticed some of the older guys blooming late and playing a hand in T20.

Samson has been a curious case. To be honest he should have been above DK.

But where would he fit? Can't open or bat at 3 and anything below that he isn't worth it. DK is a perfect finisher. Now I just hope we play him ahead of Pant. Pant is seriously not a T20 cricketer anymore I feel.

Isn't the team captain at the time of selection consulted before announcing the squad? Along with the selection committee even team management including Dravid and Rohit are responsible for this.

Bishnoi and Shami in reserves is a joke. Rishabh playing ahead of Samson is another.

Dunno about Hooda tbh. He could be a vital cog if used properly. We cannot be a batsman short. Ashwin could have been replaced but only if it was an off spinner maybe? Bishnoi and Chahal both would be leggies plus Axar is a left armer. So Ashwin gives that spin variety.

Bumrah, Bhuvi, Arshdeep and Harshal Patel surely were always going to be there. And no one has done badly either tbh. So that is why I asked even if most of us wanted Bishnoi and Shami in the squad, for whom would they be swapped?

The squad is as it was supposed to be. What else were we expecting?
