2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - Australia

Adelaide is infact one of those happy hunting grounds for the subcontinent teams where the surface is generally flat and there are lot of big scores.

More so this is the ground where Kohli have always done well. Following are his individual milestones achieved over here-

  1. First Test Century
  2. First 2 Test Hundreds as Captain
  3. A century in both innings of a Test match
  4. A century against Pakistan in 2015 WC
  5. Scored 90* v/s Australia in a T20I in 2016
  6. Scored a century against Australia in an ODI in 2019
From India's POV, they've won a Test match over here in 2003/04 so also in 2018. They played only one T20I back in 2016 against Australia which they won.

So a lot of factors that fall in India's favour. Yes India did get bowled out on 36 in 2020 and Bangladesh did experience an all-time high of knocking England out of World Cup in 2015. So I am not rubbing off a possibility of an upset but I am confident of an Indian win tomorrow. (Yes we lost to South Africa but every prediction doesn't come right)

Hopefully, rain stays away!

Individual milestones hold no value. He is back to his stay padding best with his buddy KLR, would certainly not count Kohli's glories as an upper hand.

Bangladesh have every thing to fight for. A win could propel them to the semis potentially. Don't discount them. Also, the track ought to suit the slower bowlers, Ban seems to have a slight upper hand there.

For once it's good to see The BD think tank took a little subtle approach by marking them "not here to win WC". Very much unlike them especially not too long-ago during Asia Cup, their loudmouth attitude fell flat on them. Good to see they're getting civilized (not calling Bangladeshi's uncivilized though, just to be clear)

36 all out was in twilight phase of a test match. That comes nowhere near to the complexation of tomorrow's game

With a 70% chance of rain, could be anyone's game tommorow. Ireland managed to squeeze a win because of a sluggish middle over period for England. Don't see why Bangladesh can't do the same.

Their bowling attack looks on the rise as well. Taskin and Mustafizur hitting form in the last game. Those two doing early damage could have a big impact with the D/L score, which always screws one team over. And as someone said above, Bangladesh seem to be a lot calmer now that Sriram has taken charge with no pressure of making the semis.

Especially after T20 WC 16 and Nidahas trophy final :/

I'm so confident India will beat Bangladesh I'd bet all my vcash, if my winnings wouldn't all be reset.

The way people here have been talking Bangladesh up just because they happen to face their team now I swear I must have been watching a different side get smashed in the last year.

Bangladesh’s side has 6 wins from 22 T20I games since the last WC and their most aggressive batter’s career SR would be by far the worst when compared to the top seven India had in their last game. Their two victories in this WC have been by single digits in runs.

To put it into perspective, out of the eighty T20I nations to have played since the last WC only seventeen nations have a worse win/loss ratio than Bangladesh. This current Bangladeshi side winning against India would be an upset of 2007 ODI WC proportions and any side losing that way with the gulf in quality doesn’t deserve to even be in the WC and should pack their bags for home and launch an inquest into the shambles of a campaign and also force retirements for all fifteen who participated in this national embarrassment (am I doing this overreacting part correct? :spy).

They were fortunate to beat Netherlands and very fortunate to beat Zimbabwe. Beating India isn't going to happen.

Friendship over with New Zealand, Ireland & Sri Lanka are my best friends now!
