2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - Australia

Shakib Al Hasan wants Bangladesh to be demoted back to 'minnows', so that they can enjoy the 'giant killings' that they used to get occasionally against big teams. To say that India are here to win the WC while Bangladesh are not here to win the WC, is a clear hint that he wants the 'minnow' tag back!

I am pretty sure other teams ain't falling for it. :D:p

The way people here have been talking Bangladesh up just because they happen to face their team now I swear I must have been watching a different side get smashed in the last year.
Not hyping up. Bangladesh really gets turned on by the prospect of beating India. In 2016 they brought their best game to the fore.

India's selection and strategies should determine the outcome of the game here. Given what we did vs SA, I wouldn't be surprised if the same mistakes are repeated.

You rightly mentioned that a loss here should open inquests into the performance, selection and coaching.

The Dutchmen are doing Asian teams a favour. RIP Zimbabwe

Yuzi getting a game today by the looks of it. Sky looks gloomy though.. a washout will boost chances for Pakistan as well.. so as an Indian loss

Just saw that Kohli only needs 16 runs to become the leading run scorer in T20 World Cups and go past Mahela Jayawardene at a much better Strike rate! He has hardly been dismissed in the history of this tournament talks about his consistency.

He may not go down as the best ever batter as far as T20Is are concerned but surely deserves a spot in the all-time XI as far s the Wt20 is concerned.

So Bangladesh have won the toss and put India in to bat first. At some point I wanted India to bat first as well considering it is a flat pitch that would get slower as the match progresses. Kohli and the Indian spinners are going to be the key in this game.

The problem with backing KLR to this extent being that e is eating up the deliveries. IF you can't f***** bat, get the F******* out of the team.

Rahul making Vijay Shankar look like a legend!

Rohit taking unnecessary chances now. Too much pressure given the stat-padder ate up almost 2.5 overs.

2016’s Bangladesh had prime Fizz (their greatest ever pacer and a legendary one in the making worldwide) and a world class skipper who I genuinely respect. Shakib isn’t a patch on what Mashrafe was as a leader. The other players back then still present now had promise rather than the failed potential now.

Funnily though this Bangladeshi side isn’t half bad right now. They’ve got good potential if they can sort out how brittle the batting is. Mahmud, Taskin offer serious pace and Fizz despite his decline is still a very good pacer on his day. Shoriful is there in the wings and Mrittunjoy will soon be there too.

EDIT - forgot that 2016 also had Tamim.

I blame Rahul for Rohit's dismissal. This guy will now bat conservatively and eat up more deliveries and get a 50 or so. Then Dravid and the batting coach will laud him for his efforts. Sorry to say, we don't deserve the Cup if such abominations are a part of the side.
