Well they only won 1 match so far in the world cup and that was against Scotland in 2015. This is their only second win in a world cup and beating the world champions is massive.
Hope to see them beat more bigger teams.

England losing by the hands of a weaker team in world cup is almost a norm now.

Tbh even before the start of this WC and with conditions expected, not many would have considered Afghanistan weaker. Their bowling was always going to be good. Their batting coming good is huge for them.

This win will do them a world of good now and the teams who are yet to face Afghanistan should beware and not take them lightly at all.

Also once again, runs on the board is always a plus. Whatever type of wicket it is, runs on the board and if the opposition loses 1 or 2 early wickets, it is always going to be tough chasing.

It's not disrespectful at all. They've previously won one World Cup match. They're not associates but compared to England, in every sense, they are minnows.

Gotta be honest it was painful to watch, but England being on the receiving end of major upsets is so frequent it feels like the universe is correcting itself.

Very good win by Afghanistan! Great to see them get all the appreciation from the audience and them repaying the affection/appreciation at the capital city of India with a clinical win!

Afghanistan has two games at Chepauk (Oct 18 vs New Zealand and Oct 23 vs Pakistan). With their bowling attack, expecting them to pull off more upsets in these two games (fingers crossed).
