So that's why the outfield is bad. Well played Say Jhah :D

Thankfully, India seem to be playing well here. No former demi god of a captain seen leaving deliveries, no persistence in taking the game to the fag end.

Surpised to see that Iyer's average against full balls by pacers isn't too dissimilar from his average against bouncers. Does he just camp on the backfoot expecting short balls, and isn't in the ideal position to play fuller ones either?

It’s the Suresh Raina syndrome.

He looks ‘better’ against the short ball now partly because he sets himself up thinking every pacer is going to bowl that to him (and to his credit they do tend to overdo that). Watch how some of his shots against the short ball are so ungainly compared to his other shots, it’s because he hasn’t fully got good against them.

Given it took four matches to get matching kits I wouldn't be surprised if Castore got the colour wrong and it's supposed to be light blue.

Was just talking to a friend and he brought up an interesting point. Sharma Gill and Iyer seen to have been given the green light to be super aggressive irrespective of the match situation. Partly emanating from our struggles in upping the rate in the previous outings.

Leaves the aggregation to Kohli KLR and Hardik (as a floater). Perhaps this is why we see the Top 3 getting out to lax shots every now and then?

How much stake does Mr Shah have in Castore? :grinning:

Are we going to witness Jadeja turning down singles now? 24 for victory and 20 for Kohli's ton.

We have weak link with this lineup.

The tail is bit too long after 6 down the last 4 are just numbered in Kuldeep, Shami, Bumrah and Siraj.

With no Pandya as an all rounder the balance seems to be a bit off.

And yeah Lord Thakur is no more but just a tail ender too, don't know what the management seems to see in him as batter let alone bowler.

If India beat NZ today, it will be the 1st time since 2003 that we will have beaten them in an ICC event.

Oh my god, @icyman is going to have a melt down.

Even I would have at this and I just tuned in. It’s different to the last time when there were still Rahul, Jadeja and that bloke claiming to be an all-rounder in Thakur.

This is leaving an unnecessary risk to the tail that doesn’t have any recognised batter barring sloggers.
