Disagree! VVS and Dravid knew when to pace up. You can't seriously be likening Babar to these guys, come on.

Yes, VVS and Dravid weren't the fastest scorers, but they certainly weren't stat padders.
Neither I meant that as a disrespect to Babar or them. All I am saying is his batting is kind of like older generation. He was born a generation too late. You cannot have a strike rate of 80's when the need for the hour is 95 minimum.

I however also have to say this that despite all the criticism and it was rightly given to BCCI, the pitches presented in the world cup has been great. It is not just one sided flat tracks, every surface has played differently and pitch curators deserve a lot of cricket.

Among reactionary takes, this one takes the cake.
You are seriously saying Babar is slower than Dravid and Laxman.
Yes, he had a bad tournament for his standards, but he isn’t a 90s player

He could have competed well with SRT if he was a 90's player. He gives me all the vibes of being a 90's player.

Seriously wish that the knockouts and final were day games. Day and night games are susceptible to evening swing conditions and dew factor that toss becomes so vital. I think, win the toss, win the match especially in Mumbai. But regardless, hopefully India can pull it off.

There’s much that can be said about this World Cup campaign for Pakistan, but the most disappointing thing for me will remain Babar's conservatism and inability to learn from mistakes. Apart from the New Zealand match, he seemed consumed with the fear of losing his wicket instead of scoring at the right pace.
As Osman Samiuddin pointed out, all those dismissals caught at midwicket were when he was caught in two minds about whether to play an aggressive shot and go over the top or not. An insane mental block for a batsman of his calibre to have.

Dial C for cricket .

10 pm was the time on NEO sports.

Loved that show as a Kid.

India will prepare for swing and an "out of syllabus" spinner will wreck havoc.
