Neither I meant that as a disrespect to Babar or them. All I am saying is his batting is kind of like older generation. He was born a generation too late. You cannot have a strike rate of 80's when the need for the hour is 95 minimum.

I however also have to say this that despite all the criticism and it was rightly given to BCCI, the pitches presented in the world cup has been great. It is not just one sided flat tracks, every surface has played differently and pitch curators deserve a lot of cricket.

Seriously wish that the knockouts and final were day games. Day and night games are susceptible to evening swing conditions and dew factor that toss becomes so vital. I think, win the toss, win the match especially in Mumbai. But regardless, hopefully India can pull it off.

Keeping my promise to @Bigby Wolf of not mentioning someone in this thread. This show on the other hand has been amazing. As a 15-18 year old kid I used watch Radhakrishnan from Neo Sports days when it would exclusively broadcast India's matches.



Back then I did not know if the analysis was good but I could watch the pre-match and post match analysis. Years passed by and all the analysis was more noise then anything else. Pavillion when I came across I think after Match 3-4, has been top notch. Such unbiased opinions, such analysis and open mindedness.

As someone mentioned on twitter, hope this is limited and not be something for all series. It would lose its charm. I can see this for world cups, PSL, other big events. Dont have this for bi-laterals and things. Perhaps a special episode post bi-laterals discussing the goods and bads about Pakistan cricket.

There’s much that can be said about this World Cup campaign for Pakistan, but the most disappointing thing for me will remain Babar's conservatism and inability to learn from mistakes. Apart from the New Zealand match, he seemed consumed with the fear of losing his wicket instead of scoring at the right pace.
As Osman Samiuddin pointed out, all those dismissals caught at midwicket were when he was caught in two minds about whether to play an aggressive shot and go over the top or not. An insane mental block for a batsman of his calibre to have.
