It’s what happens when you try to go too hard on the platform built by a steady innings. It’s far more prudent to have your main hitter take a few balls to settle in and then do that rather than try to replicate Klaasen’s freakish innings.

I feel like England think about how many they can score rather than how long they can bat. It doesn't always work, but there's no reason you can't score more when there's four fielders out as opposed to five.
