Bangladesh remind me a lot of India in the early 90's and perhaps even late 90's and it's time for their board to say goodbye to Shakib. You need to get this team to come outside his shadow.

There’s a world of difference between the hypothetical in this post of Rashid and what has been pointed out though. South Africa’s strongest cricket generation missed out on most of their prime years in international cricket due to their government.

Nobody’s asking for a ban of individual players or the team either, they would still be a team. The Afghani team receives funding that is more than nearly every associate out there and have been using said funding exclusively for one department that no other full member does AFAIK. I questioned the point of Ireland’s FM status too in the past when they had no FC structure and weren’t playing tests either while having extra funds for it that other associates didn’t get. This isn’t just a Taliban thing either as I don’t see any significant development to women’s cricket under the previous govt other than the bare minimum window dressing at the time of granting the status and them handing out central contracts to twenty five players before the Taliban takeover.

A Pakistani fan who only turns up when his side isn’t playing? :spy
NZ losing keeps our chances alive

our Equation is simple now.

A) Need NZ to lose against SA and Pak heavily.

Or

B) Need SA to lose all 3 games.

Or

C) Need Aus to lose 2 games.
comeback hour for pakistan

First time Starc ended his spell in World Cup without any wicket...

As I said earlier, I am already thinking of that horror T20 WC semi final. England will end India's winning streak for sure today. India will be relaxed after winning 5 out of 5 and will be complacent and it will show in their play today.

I'm thinking of that horror against NZ, that horror against Afghanistan, that horror against South Africa and that horror against Sri Lanka.

India fans, you are cruising this World Cup, a woefully out of form England side will be a push over. It's so bad, I think even Kuldeep Yadav might get a wicket and go for under 70.

England is having a poor WC just because they defeated India very badly by 10 wickets in T20 WC 2022 Semi-final . Should not have done that . Say Jhah will never forget that . Well done Say Jhah Sir :devsmile:

Even Pakistan did the same in 2021 edition . But they are having poor campaign due to their captain :p

I mean, he's still one of our best players. And our domestic structure and the new players in line are horrible (our 2nd team almost lost to Malaysia in the asian games). How can removing him be viable given the case? Systematic changes need to be made before moving on from him, otherwise things are only gonna trend downwards from here.

Will he be sticking around post the WC?

Bangladesh have a dilemma. There's probably four or five guys who have played for years and done really well but should they be around in 2027? I'd argue they shouldn't be playing another ODI after this World Cup.

However, there ranking is precarious enough, that they'll have to keep arranging home series on Snake Pits to avoid going to a World Cup Qualifier.

Therefore developing a side of fresh faces might be prove difficult.

England's hubris has left them in a similar precarious position but I'd say we have at least identified players for the next World Cup and played them. We just didn't bother picking them for this one. :lol
