hi guys, sorry for posting this late, got a bit busy with my housing stuff. however, i have finally managed to get a game with fasih today morning.

here's the match details:

south africa: johannesburg (fasih82, won the toss & chose to bat first) VS bangladesh: legendboy20

SA: 174 all out of their 20 overs
philenger 61 (39)
S. rasel 4-0-38-4

BAN in reply: 176-3 in 14.4 overs. chased it down with 30+ deliveries to spare.

sa were 8 down for 93 runs at one stage, good fighting half century from philenger enable them to post a challenging total. gg fasih.

Congrats HKR - very well done! With that win, my fate is sealed. There's too much left to do for the last match. I just did a rough calculation and its impossible for me to up my NRR to get through to the super 6s. Picture this - even if I score 300 batting first (!) and dismiss the opposition for 50 (double !!) - I won't make it through (my NRR would be 2.08).

Actually you missed out the possibility that i may lose both my games, and play poorly enough to make my NRR suffer.

Even with your loss if i play really bad in my remaining two games and lose both of them you can still qualify, am not good with the NRR so not sure how bad i have to lose lol

Man, its going to suck to be out of this tourney. Was looking forward to some cracking matches against the best players. Maybe Gougie & I should be given a wild card pass into the super 6s (super 8s!) lol. Like in them reality shows

MOM: Phelanger for an excellent bowling performance

BA won the toss and elected to bat, and had early setbacks and lost wickets continously however managed to recover in the end to post a fighting 125 (all out).

SA played very cautiously in their chase and also lost early wkts however Boucher and Morkel steadied the ship to an extent, in the end SA capitalized on BA spinners and won in thr 18th over in a exciting and closely fought contest, good game legendboy20.
