This just had to be shared:

That is brilliant, utterly brilliant......I want one!

Well this will only be exciting if England don't lose wickets!

Send Pietersen in with Root?

To be honest seeing as England won't go for any target he sets it may as well be a 10/20 over slog.

Yeah, can't see England having anything more than a little look at the chase. If they lose a couple of early wickets they'll clam up, might even see the use of a daywatchman to stem the tide :D

England chased down 176 off 44 overs in not dissimilar circumstances, albeit Pakistan were bowled out on the final day to set it up whereas the aussies have declared to try and make a game of it.

176 off 44 overs was quite an ask then, whether England are tempted by a total a whole run an over more demanding is unlikely you would have thought but then the tail did have a go at the bowling so maybe England were hoping the aussies might make a pig's ear of it and leave the door slightly open.........................

I notice England didn't use Woakes or Kerrigan, even though it might have been an opportunity to grab a wicket. So they finish 1/149 in what is a chapter in their debut and English cricket many would rather forget.

Possibly Englands best chance of winning is Cook getting out.......and he is......KP really needs to fire now.......

My Kevin Keegan moment....I would luv it, absolutely luv it if we beat em......

Loved this tweet:

If this pitch were Sri Lankan, it would have been criticized for "killing Test cricket."

And obviously Shane Warne doing his usual stuff:

Shane Warne ?@warne888 2h
Why did @KP24 not come in & at least try for a win ? Negative stuff again, such a shame #ashes

Warne just seems to be very bitter and twisted that his mate Clarke and Australia aren't very good, that he's doing all he can to try to claim some sort of moral victory all the time.

Draw. A fitting result since that's what England fought for for all but the last two hours.

What. A. Ballsup..........

Dear oh dear oh dear.........:facepalm

It was the only option. If England won when the rules said they should have gone off then that would have been an actual ballsup.

England can't complain about losing 3 overs due to light given how horribly negative their batting was for the majority of the game.

It's a natural progression and a must IMO.

Meh, rules are rules. If it is genuinely dark then it is dangerous and they should be going off. I think the bigger issue is why we refuse to start earlier than 11am when we've already lost time in the game.

Stuff like Clarke today having a go at the Umpires shouldn't be happening though, that was poor and I know that England have done it too and it shouldn't be happening. Such a bad example to set.

Awful. I agree with Boycott on TMS - Clarke declaring was sportsmanlike and ambitious - but to then constantly moan to the umpire about the light once that gamble didn't pay off was a bit childish and not really in the spirit of the game in my opinion...

Farcical.
