But when I downloaded GPU-Z and Everest and saw the specs I was surprised to see that the values were: Core-600Mhz,Shader-1500Mhz and Memory-700Mhz My question is why are all the values low and is not my card performing even at its default speed and why? The default speed on this particular model (ZAF3) are lower. So you haven't been given a faulty part, you just chose a wrong part by mistake. If you can still do so, get this piece replaced with a faster 512MB version.

I have a choice of 9600 Gt 1 gb and 9800 Gt 512 mb..............
difference between the cost is Rs 200..........But the fact is it is Rs 800 as I have to Buy a new SMPS for running 9800 GT...........

I have to play Gta 4 without lagging at decent graphics...........I am having a core 2 duo @ 2.20 Ghz and 1 gb Ram.............

So Is 9600 Gt 1 gb or 9800 Gt 512 Mb is better?
