9th Match: Australia v India (Group A)

Each and every out-of-form players are finding their form against India.
What The Faq?

Hussey found his form against England itself. Anyways, we're india rite?

Hope we dont witness a washout. If its a washout, India will be in danger because they have to hope Australia lose to Pakistan which would be very tight.

Australia 158/2 after 30 overs. Normally, teams double that score in the next 20 overs. So 300-310 is very much eminent and if it happens, India again would be looking down the barrel. Ishant wont be ending up a great bowler unless he cracks the code of the short formats (ODI and T20). You have to good in all formats to be a great bowler. Maybe we should try new fast bowlers soon. Would like to see Tyagi inducted soon.

I've got to say I'm liking this discussion on Ishant Sharma. Can't say I agree with it all but it's interesting.

Now we can safely drop Ishant till he find his form.Every one supported him kept saying that Ishant is going produce his best performance against Aussies because he has something with them. Now look what he is producing.

I think some people are forgetting he's only 21 years old.

We've already lost. Australia are set for 300+.

Yeah maybe drop him and hope that he can find his confidence back and work on his ODI/T20 bowling more.

We are playing on the same pitch where SA almost pulled off that marathon chase yesterday against England. Lets remain optimistic. Thats what keeps us going.

I said "till he find his form" and that's better for him considering his age.Now his performance alone affecting the whole team.

I think it's generally the best thing to do with a young bowler when his bowling is suited to one type of the game. The best thing India can do with Sharma is to get him out of the ODI and especially the 20/20 team and get him to focus on test cricket for India whilst learning how to bowl well in limited overs cricket in domestic cricket.

Never mind, Ponting's out. My hopes of an Indian victory are back now.

Our very own GAUTI Gambhir! Wonderful stuff to do a direct hit from the deep and getting rid of one of the quickest runners in cricket, Ponting. Nice to see Ponting's back. Had he continued till beyond the 40th over, he can be terribly dangerous. That 2003 WC final comes to mind.

Good 50 by Hussey, tainted by that run out of Ponting though.
Nice seeing White come in at 5, the Indian spinners will give his spin technique a good work out.

We`ve got our lucky break now with Ponting`s run out. That was the only way he could ahve got out today. Its time to bring Mishra back in and try to get a couple of more wickets.
