9th Match: Australia v India (Group A)

Oh Paine was looking forward to see him make a 100. I know Hussey will be sent out but wish it was Ferguson or White.

Good one from Mishy! Got that guy who was threatening to hurt us a lot. Should say that he looks a real good prospect for Australia.

More wickets plz, Mishy and Bhajji!

I think Sharma has bowled quite well to a plan, but it's the plan that is at fault. I figure they were expecting bounce and early seam movement like the earlier games where Ponting himself was struck by the ball quite a bit.

Whoever came up with the plan to bowl short needs to go, and even then Sharma should be smart enough to realise that it isn't working.

The left and right hand combo should help us combat the spin twins, Hussey should be able to play Mishra easier and Harby should be easier for Ponting.

Regarding Tim Paine's dismissal. It was unfortunate but hopefully he learns a lot from it, he probably hasn't faced this type of spin bowling before.

Its far easier now to bat, agree with Wasim. Hussey was quick off the blocks to get himself going. He seems to be moving on well. Ponting is well settled and thats a huge danger for us. If we dont get Ponting soon enough, we willl repent for it. Bhajji gets turn, but his line is still not where it needs to be.

Yea he wouldn't have played many leggies, McGain and maybe Doran but they aren't of the standard of Mishra. A bit too risky sweeping against the spin.

Hussey is looking comfortable against both spinners, Ponting struggling with Mishra so would be good if Hussey could get more twos against Mishra.

I'm sure MacGill would beg to differ and he also played against Warne, but I doubt he saw as much of him.

It's starting to look like another S.Malik-MoYo type partnership.But I feel a wicket within 5 overs.:D

And nice 50 by Ponting, not in full flow but the guys at the other end have made up for it.

Its going to rain in a few mins or so. Ponting seems concerned by it. Good move by Dhoni to bring back Praveen especially when the overcast conditions set in again.

It would be a shame if this innings was interrupted by rain, I've really enjoyed this innings so far from Hussey.

Each and every out-of-form players are finding their form against India.
What The Faq?
