9th Match: Australia v India (Group A)

Dhoni wants to save him up for the batting powerplay and death overs. Sharma is a much different guy to the one we saw in October.

What a shot by Ponting, thats more like it.

Btw if Tim Paine goes really well in this tournament, let's say he scores a 100 here. Will he keep Haddin out of the team?

He'll need to get scores in the other matches to put serious pressure on, it will also depend on how we go. If we win this tournament and he scored 50+ in the next 4 game it'd be very hard to drop him.

i think this is the weakest indian team since the team that toured srilanka in 2001.......................

I know he's only played 10 games so far in his international career, but he has really looked the part. He's already made a century and he's averaging over 40 at the moment. If someone like Warner could cement himself in this Australian team Paine would really prosper I reckon. Plus given the fact he's only 24 that should give him another advantage over Haddin.

Mishra's looking dangerous already, was a difficult catch though.

Seriously that guy's easily the best leg spinner in the world right now....most underrated.

If Watson played to his potential him and Paine would make a good combo, could even more White there is he fails. I have more faith in Paine to stay in compared to Haddin who always looks like he could get out at any stage but its always hard dislodging the incumbent.

Top shots by Paine, love your work Sharma :p

Paine is flying along, reckon if he keeps this up Aus should stick with him over Haddin. Might be a bit harsh on Haddin but Paine is really impressing me

That isn't hard :p

Ishant Sharma has been bowling tripe for a while now. It's a shame cuz he's got real potential and everyone knows that. Him and Zaheer could make a very good pair, with Nehra as a good change up.... if only he'd sort it out. It isn't that hard to bowl straight, is it ?
