9th Match: Australia v India (Group A)

Praveen bowled very well in that over! The body language looks very determined and hungry so far. Keep it on guys!!! As long as Ponting stays in there, all this would go for waste. Nehra is doing good as well and he should keep that up.

The overcast conditions worry me. Who would be at an advantage if the D/L eventually comes in? India or Australia?

It usually help's the chasing team, so India.

Oh thanks. That sounds better.

Read Akram saying this to be a 290-310 pitch. Poor one! 260-270 will be very defendable on this track. The ball stops at times and when it hits the grass, it comes on. India need to restrict Australia to 250 or below to have a chance

Hope this pitch doesn't change as much as it did for the Windies game, we will have no chance.

That's what I was just thinking. Had Australia played against a team with decent batsmen they would of lost that game the other day. They'll need to bat really well on this pitch, or hope the pitch doesn't flatten out as much in the second innings.

I got a bad feeling it will, only good thing is this is a day night game so the sun should dry out the pitch for our batting then the night dew should take effect.

Nice stuff from Paine, hes actually looking more comfortable than Ponting so far.

When Nehra was bowling so well and only 8 overs have passed by, what was the need to bring in Ishant? He has released all the pressure accumulated on Australia with a 10+ run over. IDIOT! This is now Ishant's game to come and say "when others are bowling well, I wont bowl well and undo all the good work". DAMN IT!!

That's a really poor over from Sharma, Nehra had done all the hardwork and he's just released it.

Btw if Tim Paine goes really well in this tournament, let's say he scores a 100 here. Will he keep Haddin out of the team?
