9th Match: Australia v India (Group A)

Ponting's nemesis on although I don't get why as Mishra bowled so well surely he should have left him on and brought Harby from the other end.

Oh and Sharma is absolute rubbish, any reason why India are sticking with him?

He has fantastic hair :spy

Probably because of how he performed when he first hit the international scene. I'd still stick with him in test cricket, but he has a lot of work to do in the limited over game.

Might replace Sharma with Mishra

Meant for the Champions Trophy, should have clarified

Probably just don't get why you would break the rhythm of a guy that went so well at this end.

Wow Paine brilliant shot to bring up the 50. Well played and very impressed with his work against Harby so far.

See should have stuck with Mishra at this end :p

Dhoni doesn't want to risk a leggie making him look bad in the area between him and first slip. :p

So why was he picked for the Champions Trophy? I'm guessing because it's in South Africa and they don't have anyone else to pick, India have a few pace bowlers injured at the moment.

Fantastic innings so far from Tim Paine, really liking the look of him.

Unlucky for Bhajji that he got hit for two four's in that over where he bowled a much better line than against Pakistan. Mishra is bowling in tandem now with Bhajji. Dhoni's wish (of having Bhajji bowl with another specialist bowler) has come true.

Hope Dhoni bowls Raina today instead of Kohli (he has to eat up some Ishant's overs today)

Bhajji getting huge turn here. He needs to give more loop to the ball and he could possibly cause good damage

I've not seen off spinners spin it like this much. I've not even see Harby turning it this much before. Maybe the pitch....but he's bowling much better lines and the seam is pointing in a good direction. Often he tends to undercut it.

He needs to use the doosra to good effect now. The batsmen will look to flick him to the onside.

I think Sharma has bowled quite well to a plan, but it's the plan that is at fault. I figure they were expecting bounce and early seam movement like the earlier games where Ponting himself was struck by the ball quite a bit.

It's not a game that has really looked accurate to the stats, though. Some balls have done quite a bit and there's a reasonable amount of interest for the spinners. The early period was very tight and there were some chances, but it's been some really good batting, while India have just missed the mark in crucial places.

There's no plan asking Sharma to bowl short and wide. Nuh uh. He's been doing this for quite a while. His performance against Pakistan was similar, gave Malik 3 short and wide deliveries in one over to get him going n he smacked him to all parts.
