!!! A Must Download For Everybody !!!

Might be to do with the way the reaction times are programmed or something?

HB seem to use very odd ways of "describing" things to the computer.

I remember in Cricket 2004, changing the detail in game would change how the game played. Basically, upping the frame rate meant by decreasing the detail would mean that the 'keepers would let less byes through for me.

I believe that this is simply due to poor programming by HB, and that some of the physics and other game calculations work by counting the number of frames passed or something.

I agree 100% with this. My keeper hardly ever misses the ball on my one PC, but on my laptop I get it very often. I'll see if the new DirectX makes a difference to C2K4. Might be good for all my other games as well!

Ur telling me.....Woo man.....HB(For C2002/04/05) has been using the same A.I. Values settings/Setup which was developed by Codemaster for BLC99.

That means we a.i. patchers have to work with a 6 yr old a.i. technology to create realtic patches.

A tough task i guess.

Another thing i found,

Somehow it also fixed the 'Stamina Meter'.......earlier it wasnt before the end of the day(after tea) when i saw the meter goin down for any bowler.

But NOW, In a test match, i saw the bowlers stamina dropping with every over after he had bowled 4-5 overs. Then a bowling change.

In ODI, i saw the bolwing chanve before the bowlers quota was over.(Earlier cpu didnt change the bowlers till they have bowled their full quota of overs).

Now i'm really loving this game.

Thanks a lot dude....i have downloaded it now ...will check it now...i hope there are few "good & positive" changes ....(other than smoothness or fps)

It looks like the test matches appear smoother but its the same in ODI's

There is not any difference in gameplay

And I use an onboard graphics card

I don't notice any change. Tutsi, you might be slightly exaggerating the effects of the download. Anyway, I needed the latest Direct X version.

Thanx in advanced.
Hi Kush here is a pic of the version on my computer you requested to see if you had the correct one.

and on the note that new version of direct x affecting gameplay i cant say one way or the other for certain, but i did get my first ever LBW just a few minutes ago, i had never actually got the decision given out before so maybe it does affect gameplay like tutsi says. Thanks for the info on this tutsi :cheers

sorry this may seem stupid, but where do you extract the files to?

Anywhere you like. ;)

Here are the steps:

1. Extract it in some folder (ex. C:\DirectX9c).
2. Start the setup.exe file from the folder.
3. Restart the computer if the setup tells you to.
4. The changes will take effect after the restart.

Enjoy! :cheers

Two things...
1. Ive noticed that one my laptop when the game is well speeded up that the wicketkeeper lets through loads of byes.
2. I think someone shud post this game ruining glitch to EA
