Fletcher Re-signs
Yesterday evening England Coach Duncan Fletcher resigned as the coach of England after a misunderstading with the England team, and past results. It is reported that Duncan Fletcher has taken up a singing roll in a new band labelled 'The Love Handles'. Few days before the world cup, there are already two Job Candidates that are in the running for the Job Duncan had for years, Peter Moores and James Edmonds. Veteran player Peter Moores has the experience factor over new coach James Edmonds but James is said to be the next Lancashire coach when the coach resigns. The favourite to get the job is obviously Peter Moores, aged 44 used to play for big teams like Sussex and Worcestershire. A decent wicketkeeper with over 7000 First Class runs at an average of 24 has established himself as one of the leading England-born coaches after a long, efficient career keeping wicket for Sussex, for whom he made over 500 dismissals. In the other end of the boat, Rookie Manager James Edmonds, a young gun who could theoretically be coach of England for an eternity as he is only young, but he once played before having a few to many injuries and in the end forced to retire took up coaching, where he found himself God-like. It is definetly in Peter's favour but then again, anything can happen in Cricket Nowadays.
