Some observations on wrist spin now that I've spent more time with it. Something has definitely changed in terms of the interaction...but I can't quite work out what. As a result I am struggling to get many revs most of the time...since years of DBC14 has trained me to use the LS in a certain manner that no longer seems effective. In some ways this is good because it means that you need to do well to get the ball to turn (I just don't know what I'm supposed to do well).
The amount of turn seems to have been toned down but now, crucially (unless I'm completely misinterpreting it) the amount of revs really affects the amount of turn...which it never seemed to in DBC14 or early versions of DBC17 beta. If this is the case (and bearing in mind that I'm only getting good revs through luck rather than intent) then this is again going to improve the spin experience...although I love to be able to turn the ball square, I don't want it to be so easy that I just do it with every delivery...I sometimes want to be as surprised as the batter at how much (or how little) turn I get...so a closer correlation with revs would be good for variation.
The flight and bounce adjustments are still a bit of a mystery to me. I'm not bowling particularly consistently but it seems as though adding a bounce adjustment reduces the amount of bounce compared with a flighted delivery...whereas I would expect the opposite. Again could just be me on this but I'd appreciate anyone's advice on how to use these adjustments.
Another minor thing (when batting now) but has the bowling machine beep disappeared...or have I done something in the settings? The machine seems completely silent now.
