Your last 3 updates have all been sensational. I am following this story very closely. Good win against the Power, unlucky against the Hawks. It is freo now. Only match i want you to lose lol.
The Dockers have defeated the Crows at home by 10 points in their round 5 clash at Aami Stadium.
The Dockers who kicked out to a 5 goal first quartter score, didn't stop from then on in, and delivered a good hard close contest with the Crows who have suffered their 3rd loss for the season. Matthew Pavlich was a star for the Dockers as he kicked 5 goals. The South Australian born Pavlich has been on the Crows radar for many years now, and today showed why the Crows rate him so highly. For the Crows, Scotty Stevens continued his good form, kicking another 4 goals, while his captain Simon Goodwin continued his form from last week when he booted another 3 goals from the Half Forward Flank.
Freo youngster Rhys Palmer was in good form. Only his 4th AFL match, Palmer has 27 disposals and kicked 2 goals, as being one of the best on grounds for the Dockers. He certainly looks to be a player of the future, and he will be a big part in the road ahead for the Dockers. Chris Tarrant was back to his best, he had 24 possesions playing at Centre Half Forward, while Michael Johnson was the Dockers best defender playing on Luke Jericho at Centre Half Back, picking up 25 possesions.
For the Crows, Nathan Bock who played on Matthew Pavlich had the most possesions. Bock picked up 33 touches, trying to run of the Dockers Forward. Kris Massie was good, while other defender Graham Johncock picked up 21 touches.
It was certainly a entertaining match, but it was the Dockers that picked up the victory.
Great match, unlucky on the loss. But go Freo Pav was too good as was Palmer. Seems like the one that just got away. Stevens looks to be a brownlow favorite at the moment doesn't he. Another fantastic game from him
Good team there, shame about maric, shirly and jericho's form. Hopefully big trent hentschel will be a target up forward. Tyson edwards is a good inclusion as well.
Carlton have pounced out of the blocks and given the Crows a massive footy hiding yesterday when the Blues won by 101 points at the Telstra Dome. It was the greatest win for the Blues in 5 years, and they were very pleased with themselves at the end of the day.
20 goals 20 was the end score for the Blues who had 10 goal kickers at the end of the game.
And with their champion forward Brendan Fevola having a major impact in the scoreboard, it just shows what a even team this Carlton side is becoming. Leading the way for the Blues was South Aussie youngster, Marc Murphy. Now we know why the Crows wanted him so badly, because he is certainly a player for the future. Murphy finished with 3 goals while having a whooping 43 possesions, as a best on ground performance. Brad Fisher was also on target for the Blues, as he kicked 3 goals while all, Russell, Fevola, Scotland and Stevens all managed 2 goals each.
Captain Chris Judd was back to his best again, kicking a goal and having 39 disposals, as the Blues 2nd leader. The Captain have given this young Blue midfield of Murphy, Gibbs and Richard Hadley and with Judd are certainly going to be a midfield to stop, nearly like the Geelong midfield of Ablett, Bartel, Ling and Corey.
For the Crows it was certainly a miserable day. Only 6 goals were scored for the afternoon, as the dangerous Stevens couldn't find any room to move down forward as the Blue defence flooded into the Crows forward 50. Brent Reilly finished with 2 goals and and 35 possesions.
Brad Symes is certainly pushing his name for the Crows Best and Fairest early on the season with another whooping 38 touches. He is the only hand in the midfield at the moment with Scott Thompson being pretty quiet before this match as he had 30 touches.

Best: Carlton: M. Murphy, A. Carrazzo, C. Judd, B. Fisher Adelaide: B. Symes, B. Reilly, A. McLeod, N. Bock

VanBerlo and Murphy do battle with each other in their round 6 clash at the Dome
Will update the next match after i get home from my exam this afternoon. Doing a wood exam today, will be piss easy, but the fact i have to get up early and do it, i ain't pleased with
Adelaide have soffered another loss this season after the Kangaroos beat them by 42 points at Aami Stadium. Infront of 37 thousand fans, the Kangaroos through Corey Jones and Drew Petrie showed the way for the Roos as they picked up another win. Coach Dean Laidly showed his appreciation after the match.
A very innacurate Kangaroo side, with big ruckman David Hale and midfielder Shannon Grant who both kicked 2 goals each. And with Jones and Petire kicking 6 goals between them. The Roos dominated the game from the beginning, kicking a whooping 9 goals in the first quarter. The Crows only managed the 1 goal to quarter time. With Andy McLeod and leading Goal Kicker Scott Stevens who both kicked 3 goals, and with Crow utility Brett Burton kicking 2 goals, it wasn't enough in the end.
Simon Goodwin and Graham Johncock were judged the Crows best, when they picked up 22 touches each. Young forward James Sellar who one of the Crows best, when he picked up 17 touches from Centre Half Forward but couldn't manage anything on the scoreboard, which was the problem for the Crows today.
The Crows have been beaten again, and this time by a lower class opponent in Melbourne. The Crows infront of their home crowd were dreadful against a very ordinary Demon outfit. Coach Hayden was very unimpressed with the result his players showed out their today.
"To go out infront of nearly 30 thousand fans against Melbourne on your hom ground, you are expecting to win, and if i dare say, win easily. But we just didn't give a rats butt today.
No one wanted to play football. We did nothing, and none of our players were up to it.
I give credit to Melbourne they played exspecially well, but when your team isn't performing is a different issue" Sumner said...
The Crows have again lacked that tall mutiple goal kicking option up forward when they have to again spread their Goal kicking around. 9 players were seperated for the Crows score of 11 goals, with only Hentschel and Brett Burton being the 2 who kicked multiples.
Scott Stevens has lost a little bit of form of late, so he could be on the verge of a trip into the SANFL, it's a big call at the moment, but that's how bad everyone is playing. The Crows need to do a lot of recruting by seasons end to try and find a match winning Forward.
Graham Johncock was the only fighter for the Crows this afternoonas he bought up a whooping 36 touches from defence, and that was only because the ball spent more tmie in the Melbourne forward line then it did anywhere else.
For the Demons is was a day in heaven. Aaron Davey slotted home 5 majors while Lynden Dunn, Brad Green and Cameron Bruce kicked the other multiple goal scorers.
So not to many surprises really for the start of the year, As we said at the beginning of the year, Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood are the 3 expected teams to fight it out in the Premiership race.
It is certainly looking that way at the moment, with Geelong on top of the ladder with 8-0 record. Hawthorn are 2nd with a 7-1 and Collingwood are sitting 3rd with a 6-2.
The big surprise packet at the moment would be the Kangaroos. They have jumped into 4th spot, and is just percentage away from being in the top 3. The Bulldogs are the same, they are sitting 5th with a 5-3 record.
The Crows are nearing the bottom of the table. Sitting 14th at the moment with 2 wins and 6 losses and with a percentage of 69. The Crows have in the next few weeks, they play the Eagles @ Subiaco next week, then they face Essendon at home on a friday night, then the Tigers at the MCG, and then Hawthorn at the MCG. Looks like a tough few games ahead for the Crows.
