MATCH PREVIEW - INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA​

IK: Hello and welcome to the first ever cricket match to be shown on Setenta Sports. It is a big event the opening game of the ICC Champions Trophy. There will be lots of expectations on India, being the home side, but looking at the group South Africa look like the underdogs. I feel that this game will help decide the fate of these two teams. Anyway here is our predictions on the game.

This is a strong Indian Line Up, they have got an extra player in as Rahul Dravid is playing as wicket keeper, they have a great batting line up, with Gavsakar, Ganguly, Tendulkar and Dravid, followed by Azharuddin who too is a strong batsmen. They have 2 strong all rounders in the middle with irfan pathan and kapil dev, who can both bat strongly later on in the innings. They also have a great bowling attack with Srinath and Agarker to open, followed by the spin of Kumble.

Well South Africa have a strong batting line-up, with kirsten and pollock opening, but they are supported very well by the middle oreder with Kallis Richards and Cronje. They bat in so much depth that Rhodes has been pushed down to 6. Shaun and Mark can bat very well at the death and Tayfield is no sloach either. They have a great bowling attack spearheaded by Donald and De Villiers, with Pollock Kallis and Tayfield to back up. South Africa look a strong side.

Battle of the openers
Gavaskar and Ganguly vs Pollock and Kirsten
Well this will be a tough one, india have the edge with gavaskar one of the leading run scorers in the history of the game. but ganguly is known to be a bit inconsistent, whereas the saffers two openers pollock and kirsten have been consistently great for them over the years.

Middle Order
Well this is the major strong points for both sides they have great ability with the bat. With Tendulkar and Dravid for the Indians will provide the backbone for the innings, and people can play around them. For the saffers they too are strong with Kallis, Richards and the captain Cronje, with fireworks at the end from Rhodes, Boucher and Pollock

Will Donald be the duck for India??

Bowling
This too is close to call but the saffers may just pip this. Allan Donald one of the best One Day bowlers of all time but Srinath is also something special, they both have lots of back-up and should provide a great contest.

Prediction
This will be a close contest but with the home support on their side, us here at Setanta Sports are going for an Indian Win
