"Having emerged during the isolation of international cricket Pakistan, Sami Aslam made his name through Under-19 cricket. A specialist left-handed opener he played two U-19 World Cups including the 2014 edition in which he led his side into the final. He was also the captain of the Pakistan U-19 side when they toured England in 2013 where he caught the eye of the selectors in their never ending hunt for openers. He made two centuries in a tri-series, including 110 in the final against England, before shooting to prominence with another hundred in victory over arch rivals India at the 2013-14 U-19 Asia Cup in UAE."

Has a solid 48+ average in List A cricket, believed he would not get a fair shot staying and playing in Pakistan.

Its kinda surprising to find South African-turned-Namibian all-rounder David Wiese turned out to be an ODI scrub, in spite of his superb all-round talent as we've witnessed in franchise T20 cricket, where he's set several tournaments alight with his big hitting and wily seam bowling such as the PSL, CPL, The Blast among others. And even in the recent World T20 where his presence lifted Namibia from a mediocre outfit hanging around the fringes of associate cricket to one good enough to qualify for the Super 12s and actually compete there, again thanks mainly to his performances such as 66* off 40 balls against the Netherlands, 28 off 14 against Ireland, and 43* off 31 against semi-finalists Pakistan. However, his South Africa career never really took off, which had a lot to do with reasons other than cricketing ability in a team that was forced to field six players of color to meet transformation targets - making it rather difficult for a white player to find a place at a time when similarly colored Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel were basically a lock-in. He quite predictably made a Kolpak deal with Sussex and was considered too old for a recall when it became null following Brexit, and that pretty much was that. His List-A stats reading 3711 runs at 36.02 striking at 116 runs per hundred balls, and 140 wickets at 37.12 with 3 four-fers and 1 five-fer suggest he could have made quite an impact on the ODI scene given more opportunities in an era shorn of quality ODI all-rounders in South African cricket (I mean Andile Phehlukwayo, are you serious?!!).. South Africa's loss was Namibia's gain, and my gain too in this draft.
