India going a bit too slow here, they need to up the tempo, which is very easy with Sachin and Sehwag there. Great works mate, just wondering if you are using my roster?
India need to preserve wickets for the later stage of this game. If Tendulkar can stay till the end, I am sure India can reach somewhere between 310-340
Indian opener Virender Sehwag has brought up a lengthy half century as India reached 1/124 at the half way mark of the first innings. Sehwag has been out of sorts on a wicket that appears to be playing slower than expected.
The usually attacking openers fifty has come off 86 balls, and has appeared cautious and seems intent on staying the length of the innings.
India 1/124 (25.0)
V. Sehwag 53* (86)
S. Tendulkar 20* (20)
B. Hilfenhaus 1/25 (5)
J. Hopes 0/9 (1)

Hopes Breaks Through - Sehwag Dismissed - India 2/138 (27.5)
James Hopes has provided the end to a frustrating innings by Virender Sehwag as the opener was dismissed for 56 with the score at 2/138. In the 28th over of play, Hopes had the unusually conservative Sehwag trapped infront LBW from a short ball that stayed unusually low.
The Delhi pitch appears to be causing problems from the batsmen, with the home side struggling at 5.08 runs an over on a wicket that was originally expected to be a batsmans paradise.
On a positive note for the home side, hero Sachin Tendulkar is batting with his usual skill and aggression to be unbeaten on 29 from 30 balls.
India 2/138 (27.5)
V. Sehwag 56 (93)
S. Tendulkar 29* (30)
With wickets in hand, you never know what India can post, they could still get 300+ if Sachin starts to go big. Then again, if the Aussie bowlers can grab a few wickets they could get them out for under 230.
Match is in the balance and eagerly waiting for next updates. KUTGW
Thanks everyone for your responses. Particluarly Highlander, Suren and Shantanu. Starting to get back into the hang of writing again. Hope your enjoying it. Updates to come in a couple of hours.
Well unusual innings by Sehwag, 50 of 81 balls well not the Sehwag we know, but I feel he was quite unlucky to be given out. That ball just may have gone over the stumps. But still with wickets in hands and almost 20 overs remaining India should get around 270-280 which could be a defendable score.
Brilliant presentation and writing MW, looking forward for more. Its always great reading your stories. :happy
Still a couple of wickets in quick intervals can take the game either way. Sachin has to stay for India atleast till 45th over. Sachin!!! Sachin!! Sachin!
Sachin Tendulkar is looking in dangerous form, guiding India to 2/147 at the 30 over mark in Delhi. Tendulkar is currently on 35 from 36 balls, with Rahul Dravid new to the crease and unbeaten on 2 from 9 deliveries. Michael Clarke has ensure India have struggled to pile on the runs on a slow sub-continent wicket, with figures of 0/17 from 4 overs. With wickets in hand, the hosts will target a figure of 280 to 300 runs.
India 2/147
S. Tendulkar 35* (36)
R. Dravid 2* (9)
Match is evenly poised, if Aussies can get couple of wickets here they will be having the upper hand but till Tendulkar is there in the middle 300 is always on the cards.
Great work M_Waugh KIU

Tendulkar has displayed controlled aggression, setting the platform for what appears to be an aggressive final 10 overs.
Tendulkar has been assisted by Rahul Dravid, who is starting to find form and is unbeaten on 20 from 41 deliveries.
(Sachin Tendulkar reaches 50 while Ricky Ponting searches for answers)
India 2/190 (40.0)
S. Tendulkar 51* (61)
R. Dravid 20* (41)
