And now I've been given some more negative rep, of a guy going "hahaha".
Something has to be done, to enable us to see who is giving it to us.

Or can I report this to mods, and they can see who is doing it and ban them/give my reps back???

That will only just cause problems of people giving neg rep in return. The rules cover this issue in detail as we've had problems for basically the entire time we've had the system, which is why you no longer see rep levels displayed on posts.

PMing an admin/global mod is the thing to do, not posting about it and calling people faggots.

FWIW, MacLovin, Griffo and Howsie neg repped you and srikarr12 tried, but his own rep was too low for it to have any impact.

I thought I was all good with my fellow NZer Howsie, but he obviously hates me as well.

Its kinda lucky that reps mean absolutely nothing, isn't it? Else we'd all be pestering admins about who's neg-repped us! How will they ever sort out their annual retreat.

I still don't get why people bother about reps really, they meant nothing pre-removing them from under our usernames, now you have to actually go through many clicks to find out somebody elses rep! I'd say just remove it all together it means so little, if people want to mention a post, the VM system would surely work.

Seriously Matt, is there any reason why the rep system still needs to be in place? When I was a young-un, in 2005/06 when I made a name for myself (maybe) it had a place, it worked well with the super-thread, but also, the age demographic was higher that it is now. All it seems to do now is cause conflict, maybe it did years ago as well, but obviously now, I can see just what it does.

Off topic comments to a member on that particular post. That's how I use the rep system, and the usefulness for that purpose is why it is still in there, but made less visible.

Its true, but is there not a better way? Don't give any value to a rep (however much value they contain anymore), just make it a "personal note," or something, where people can comment on it, like in reps.

I dunno, the Rep system isn't something I worry about, but I just think there are better ways.

Oh, quick request, whilst on a few other forums they have a thing where if you're quoted in a post, then either by PM, pop-up or something you're told you are and then you know you can respond. Wouldn't that be a decent addition?
