Just an idea, how about giving the ex-staff who contributed something heavy to the forum a separate user-title like "Former Staff" or "Former-Admin". If people feel there would be too many user groups, they (former contributors) could be given an extra field to the fields they have under their avvy.

No, my point here is- irrespective of what they wish (unless they are very particular), we can have something to show all that a user was once a staffie/admin.

Exactly that, but what I say is to provide that staffies and globbies who did hectic job. People like Pranav, NP10, Surendar, PhilD, Brett_lee, Tom, Matt (just to name a few) have done outstanding job. And few are still on PC without their moderation. So, this could be a small way in which we could make the newbies know that they were staffies previously.
