Any Improvements?

Utterly bad implementation of the new Thanks system.

1. After clicking 'Thanks' and then clicking on 'Remove thanks' brings back the 'Thanks' text instead of the origianl button. Not that it matters a lot, but there is no design consistency in the new system.

2. The original implementation of the new system was better. We had the names of the people thanking (or liking post) at the bottom left of post. Now we have them on bottom right. No idea why this was done. It takes away having all the information about a post at a glance.

3. A post which already has at least one thank (or like) cannot be thanked. The button doesn't act as a clickable object. But I guess only some users are experiencing this, otherwise we wouldn't be having multiple thanks on the new posts now. And I'm one of them experiencing this issue.

4. Users can't view their new thanks in the User CP anymore.

Thanks for your valuable feedback.

How often do you need to thank and then remove thanks on a post?

I will look at resolving the issue - but I'm fairly certain if you removed your thanks in the old system the button just disappeared totally.

Or just you considering no one else has mentioned it.

Perhaps instead of just saying it's 'utterly bad' you might attempt basic troubleshooting or at least assisting by giving information on your browser and OS - especially when you realise it is is working for other people.

It's in a slightly different spot and you can even choose to be notified about new ones.

I actually love this fact. It prevents abuse of the reputation system, with people thanking every damn post in the forum.
Now, people are actually going to thank only those posts which are actually deserving to be thanked (Of course, I'm sure some threads will still be kashan'ed).

This, combined with the total thanks in the thread popup on the top will actually be a very useful feature in the time to come. When threads become large, and it becomes impossible to index everything, this system could possibly act like an index for all the important posts in the thread.

Actually, quite the opposite. With the amount of 'Thanks Received' & 'Thanks Given' displayed in the Mini Statistics column on the profile page, I'd expect people to abuse it more.

BINGO :clap:clap:clap:clap

I really hope the Thanks Button is stabilised soon. Its been a little frustrating to experience its recent behaviour.

P.S. Another reason I made this post; I don't want my #posts to be 505 :facepalm

I am getting pornographically suggestive ads and no, it has nothing to do with my browsing history.
