Late release of game footage is nothing to be boasting about.

How can a video be classified as "late" when no date has been set forward for the release of said video? To be late, it has to miss that date. Also, your arbitrary definition of what you think the date should be does NOT constitute a date.

Because BA has such a vast list of features that clearly destroy anything ashes has its given Ross so much more time and patience with the members here, people are willing to wait for these but as ashes has minimal features people expectations are different.

I like Ross, I'd take his way over a weasel like chief who can't face the deserved criticism, all I would say to Ross is why can't you name a release date?

I apologise its been asked 100's of times but surely a respected company like yours name a date and deliver on that promise.? Is that not just standard procedure for most games.?

I don't get the secrecy behind it that's all.

How long do you spend on Cricket Academy then?

It is a game editor. Would you pay for that?

It's not footage on demand it's why is there no game footage if the game is so good and it needs a long campaign on this site?

Don't you judge the quality of a video game on the amount of time you spend on it. Have played C07 and AC09 for many many hours and yet I'd call them pretty bad in many departments. Its about a 2hrs of CA in a week, enough to get my teams all ready before the game releases.

Ross isn't campaigning here (though many would deny that). Had he needed to campaign, he'd have got a Cricket14 page out by now on Facebook (which I'm surprised they haven't done yet. Ross!!). There's no harm in communicating with us, he did get in plenty of stuff from here (remember the nets thing?)

There are certain things he'd follow as per some marketing plan his team might have come up with, and the release of vids and all would be a part of it. Its not the case of the game is ready so I've to show the ppl a trailer ASAP. The game comes out before October, its already July7, just 2 more months. The marketing campaign would most likely be a month long (as in previous BigAnt titles) so expect some goodies soon. Lets not be so demanding. At least you got some screenshots, a video, an entire player/match/tournament editor at your hands. Remember just 10 months back we had no cricket game coming at us! Lets not over react on this issue!

Ross put forward his experience in the past using his current marketing technique. You said it isn't anything to be proud about as the videos were late. This was obviously an attempt to discredit Ross's marketing tactics. I explained how it cannot be late as it hasn't broken any promised dates, and explained that you made arbitrary assumptions in regards to what constitutes something being late. An example of a late something would be, for example, not meeting a RELEASE DATE (A* word cough cough)

The focal point of the discussion is Ross's Marketing tactics, you attempted to infer that he had nothing to be proud about as his videos were "late". I explained why your point held no ground.

And why I tried to explain that is beyond me, it really isn't worth it.

Let's be clear, Ross has released separate CA updates by adding new features earlier than expected. He then released screenshots when it was least expected, he released screenshots just to lift off mood by Ashes saga. He also has released so much game information almost daily and not to forget the recent video. Now what you people don't know is he released all these before starting a market campaign i.e It is all PC exclusive, there haven't been any media released officially outside PC. Yet people are so greedy to ask everything even though we should be lucky to get the info before world does. All these have been done by Ross before marketing campaign is just for the sake of cricket gaming fans who has been disappointed all these years. He communicate with us like a normal cricket fan here daily and provide us the satisfaction by answering ALL our queries without asking ANYTHING in return. HE DOESN'T OWE US ANYTHING. Yet our greed increases rapidly. If you can't thank him for creating a game by listening to fans than atleast don't disrespect him.
