Ashes Cricket delayed officially

Nope, he's never said anything like that. He's just only said that the "window" for release would be between now and October. That doesn't rule out October... it just says that's included in the window. If you look at when the domestic season starts in Australia (October) as well as the build up for International Cricket downunder (October) and pre-christmas purchases tend to begin in October as well, so that would make the most sense. We're all spitballing because the impression I get is his game really could go any day from now - that's the confidence they have in their product and the screenshots we've seen seem to back that up.

The biggest difference is we've got multiple references of proof (Cricket Academy Beta, Screenshots, multiple Developer interaction) on the status of BAC14 ...we have 5 screens, dishonesty and delays from the Ashes Team. From what we as a forum know, Ashes are not making a July window...

BAC14 could be anytime, but not after October. Hence why the smart money is on October itself.

Is the pc build still releasing tomorrow? Anyone's copy got shipped yet? :p

Nope, he's never said anything like that.

Believe he did somewhere. Plus he said the date will be 0x/xx/2013 taking out an october release.

Australian dates are always Day, Month, Year. You're reading tea-leaves. Or the x's could mean absolutely nothing.

On shelves could mean they're stocking it on the 30th :D

But yeah, Games are usually released prior to the weekend, so you're looking at September 26th "in store" date possibly. On sale first week of October ;)

Okay... Yeah, there's a good chance he might be pushing his team a little harder now the delay is official and rumored to be worse than what they're saying.

I'm still saying October, based on the Australian Ashes series.

It partly depends on what licences (if any) he has - because lets assume he has the BigBash license which looks like a good possibility, that really does affect his release window because he would want to capitalize on that event prior to it beginning... especially as 505/Trickstar have the Ashes license - which I assume isn't just for the UK series?

then we might see some Glowing-Stumps :yes

1) If they are over hauling the engine and adding new features then when would they submit it for approvals?

2)BigAnt was initially worried to disclose mechanisms because they feared the other developer might copy them. Now over hauling sounds worrying. The best option is to release the game before Ashes.

"Adding New Features" prolly just means they're not enforcing automatic fielding and trying to put manual fielding back into the game. It's too late to go "back to the drawing board" with the way the game functions... For example, they can't overhaul the entire thing and put a Career Mode into it in only 2 months!

True that and maybe DRS is brought back. There is a serious lack of features except for 'great commentary and live pitch with accurate weather'.
