Asia Cup 2022 - Sri Lanka (UAE)

This Afghanistan side is scary! They are easily winning this Asia Cup.

They lack the batting depth and quality compared to the other sides but if their openers can fire with Nabi and Najibullah offering some middle order stability they can indeed go all the way. That is one fearsome bowling attack.

After seeing the way Pakistan have picked up as far as their bowling was concerned, I don't think there is any other team that is more feared atm!

The most threatening part is Afghanistan's spin bowling attack. And as @Bevab said, Afghanistan clearly lacks batting depth. They are very much dependent on Gurbaz & Nabi off late.

What's right there? You can't blame the rules of cricket for your loss. Both the teams knew the rules before the match started. They still made the mistake.

Two things (from what I understand)

He's not blaming the rules of cricket (lol), he's highlighting a very logical and rational point during the game which caused Pakistan's defense to go off the rails. And that response comes to presumably, a 'journalist' doing what desi journalists do best. Calling the players names and saying unruly and unjustified things because they lost. And not actually critiquing the game and the low points of their defeat.

From his words, I think it's very clear to make out that he is not saying "Pakistan lost because we weren't allowed an extra outfielder in the last 3.0 overs", he's saying "Pakistan lost, and a large part of that is due to the fact that we had a boundary-rider short in the last 3.0 overs". Which is fair, and true.

Mahmudullah has been absolutely dire in recent times. Mosaddek saved the Bangladeshi innings there. Nurul and Litton are clearly being missed here, Anamul/Naim and Mahmudullah out for those two improves the side tremendously.

Still wouldn’t count them out of the game… if they can nab a couple of early wickets..

Player was inside was also Pakistan's fault na? Why even bring that topic when it was something that could be avoidable. (telling all the so called pundits from both the side and not you @nma)

Low scoring pitch in Sharjah and we'll play our next match there :facepalm

AFAIK Sharjah always offered high scoring pitches so why do we see such slow pitches all of a sudden?

That's what Sarfraz is saying, the slow over rate cost Pakistan, and you can criticise that, instead of illogical criticism by Pakistani journalists

That's exactly what he's saying. Criticize the mistake that is a mistake (and avoidable as you put it), and not some random BS that the lady has in her head.

Because that's a legitimate mistake they made. Something that should be criticized. As opposed to a made-up reason, which is what that lady was doing.
