The continued persistence with KLR and Kohli means reverting to that old brand. It's not going to get us anywhere. When you have the likes of SKY, Pant and DK in the team, this is a sin.

For all the hate that Shreyas Iyer copped, I'd say he'd have done a far better job than KL at the top.

Opening with Pant/Rohit isn't a bad option. Ishan , Sanju are the others who can be considered. A left field and my personal vote would be Prithvi Shaw- but that's unlikely to happen before Aus WT20

If KLR continues doing whatever he’s trying to, I’d suggest dropping him and opening with Kohli and Rohit. Because Kohli isn’t getting dropped until the WC is over. This also allows us to play Pant at four.

Sadly Shaw seems to not be in the favour at the moment for other reasons.

In this case, you are simply replacing KL with a slightly better version. If we need to get off to a flier, there's no way Kohli can do so.

Just imagined what would have happened if Hardik had failed to hit that six in the last over. We were just one mistake away from the loss. Who would have responsible for that loss? Virat, Rohit, or Jadeja? But since we won the match, everyone forgot all the mistakes. But this doesn't end here. We will repeat the same mistake in a big match like the semi-final or final and Hardik/SKY won't be able to save us that day.

We are not going to win any tournament unless we stop this tuk-tuk approach.

I agree with you that Kohli isn’t what we need either but he isn’t getting dropped due to reputation. Better to make do with him in a role that can at least make him useful instead of turning him into another Dhoni post 2016.
