New Zealand need another quick wicket, and they've got it with Phil Jaques. Jaques, trying to boost the run rate gets a top edge and is caught on the boundary. This is all off of The Spin's first delivery of the game!

Ponting has been riding his luck in this innings, but he eventually departs for a well played 34 off 38 balls. Some nifty bowling from the spin. I think that was the flipper.

Watson has gone, and Australia really need to quicken the pace to get a good score here. New Zealand are slowing the rate well. The New Zealanders have been very good in the field all tournament. But, one person has shone, and Matt Roberts took another stunner here to dismiss Watson and for Bazzy star to claim his first scalp.

And Australia have reached a total of 228-5 off 50 overs. Can New Zealand do better?
Tune in to find out!

I'm sorry, but I'm too disgraced to put our pitiful reply of 113 all out. Top scorers were T Spin and M Roberts who both got 26. Everyone in the top order collapsed. Simon's batting order sucked and will be revamped again for next time. :(

nice story AUS batted well ...but 1 suggestion which you should really consider in your next update ....please do most of your updates in a single post instead of posting 6-7 updates 5 min apart ...

GN i say you just stick one team and givw them confidence.
I.E last years Ashes, lost first test but stuck with same team throughout the series and pulled off an amzing win :)

But it is your decision :)

Ouch, we really need to find some form fast.

I'm still dining out on my 62 in the first match. Hopefully I'll be back soon with some runs.

We should have won that game. I guess us batsmen aren't pulling our weight :(
