Okay that happens, but hadn't we taken out their best players by that time? Surely, we should not be needing that much assistance to bowl out, for lack of a better word, less qualified batsmen. It's called lower order/tail for a reason.

The bowling was good from our end in the initial 4 overs but 2-3 batsmen just played loose shots and rash shots to get out. Had some of these SA batsmen applied themselves better, they could have been 20/2 in 4 overs than 9/5

Missing the point. It's not about whether our bowlers bowled exceptionally well or their batsman threw their wickets away but about what makes us not tick even after we already have seen the back of players who are in the side for their batting.

Agreed. I don't think that our bowling department is a settled unit. Too much chopping and churning going on. Apart from Bumrah, I don't remember who else was a guaranteed starter among the bowlers. And now we have even lost Bumrah to an injury.

For a while Shami was the next in line, then suddenly it was Bhuvi. First changes was constantly juggled between Avesh, Arshdeep, Deepak Chahar, Siraj and few more. Now we even have Umesh in the mix out of nowhere. And even for spinners it's a toss up, at times it's Chalal, then suddenly we replace him for Bishnoi, who was really good btw. But then we bring Chalal back. Also there is Ashwin in the mix. Too much chaos and very less structure to begin with.
