I think people will underestimate this Australian team. Jyde Richardson, Billy Stanlake and Andrew Tye will be the ones to watch.
Dave ssshhhh... I told you to stay in the bedroom... They don't like it when Australia bounce back. I'll be in with the 'good's' later x

Maybe but only due to home advantage but I believe it'll be tighter than first thought x

Pretty embarrassing that we can't score 300 against a county team after a magnificent partnership between Stoinis and Finch. Maxwell is way too inconsistent, Paine is an overall horrible limited overs batsman and cannot be our finisher, Head seems to only score when opening. Thank god this is only a test trial for the CWC and all the useless players like Paine, Head, etc will hopefully be gone to make way for our spearheads with bat and ball. Really looking forward to seeing Stanlake, Tye and Jhye Richardson bowl. Best of luck to them. However if we score 277 against England , that will be like a 140 score in a t20. The middle order needs to step up or step out

1. D'Arcy Short/Travis Head
2. Aaron Finch
3. Shaun Marsh
4. Marcus Stoinis
5. Tim Paine
6. Glenn Maxwell/Alex Carey
7. Ashton Agar/Micheal Neser (Mainly Agar)
8. Andrew Tye
9. Jyde Richardson/Billy Stanlake
10. Kane Richardson
11. Nathan Lyon

I'm not going to be too negative about the game. It was pretty obvious to me that Langer was giving some of the younger and inexperience blokes a game. Neser probably won't be getting too much games throughout the series. Shaun Marsh will be in the top order most likely. Nathan Lyon will be in for the whole series.[DOUBLEPOST=1528439960][/DOUBLEPOST]The next warm-up game will be against Middlesex at Lords on the 9th of June. Excited to see how it goes.

If Carey is going to play, then I don't think they need Paine. But since he is the captain, he has to be there. Maybe Carey can open with Short and Head and Finch at no. 3. Stoinis at 5 and Marsh at 4. Slightly better!

I put the full squad into the XI. Like you can put either or there.

Personally, I feel Travis Head is useless in the middle order. Keeping that in mind, I think he should be the reserve opener because he's been successful there. Short deserves a few games first. He needs to play the Warner role by attacking the bowlers in the first ten overs, which he is capable of. Finch takes his time but goes aggressive after that, he's valuable to the side. My lineup would be:

Short
Finch
S Marsh
Stoinis
Paine
Maxwell
Carey
Agar
Tye
Richardson
Stanlake

This would be a good lineup. Maxi cannot be put anywhere over #6. I feel he can do well at 6 than any other position. If Short doesn't fire, bring Head in as opener. Shaun Marsh can be a stabilizer if a wicket falls. Given the lack of any good specialist batsmen, Stoinis should play at #4.

Australia need to open with Glen Maxwell. Short will not survive against Wood & Co.

And who says Maxwell will? This will never happen. Short deserves a chance after what he's done in domestic and BBL. Plus he's a left handed batsmen who pairs up with Finch well.
