India tour of Australia - 2018/19

It's good that MS has been making runs but I can place a bet here that he will not score runs in NZ.
Our top order will fire but then what will MS do? He can't eat up deliveries like in the first ODI. Unless Dhawan goes through the same form in NZ, I feel Dhoni will not fire.

He is crucial though

No clue why Peter Siddle wasn't dropped for Mitch Marsh, would've strengthened the batting and they still would've had an extra bowler. Siddle should never play another game for Australia for the rest of his career.

I think it was your skipper who saved Siddle for the last knowing that he is short of match practice at the International level and is making a comeback after 5-6 years so he can't get this bowling spot-on on the word go but Finch still gave Siddle the bowling at death so you were bound to lose. Instead of blaming your workhorse bowler blame your conservative Captain

Welcome back buddy, how are you?

Remember me saying that Australia do not have enough bench strength and without Smith and Warner the Australian side is as strong as the Bangladesh side at their home? You argued how your bench strength is good and you guys can still win. Anyways moving on, good to see Dhoni amongst runs. Not that he needs any confidence but this should definitely give him peace. If someone takes the finishers roles and if Dhoni takes the guidance role we have a solid middle order. Jadav and Dinesh/Raydu should always be in our XI.

Good end to a long series with a drawn T20 series, won test series and won odi series now. Well done

Before this thread closes, thank you Virat Kohli. Horrible captain but I didn't think a day would come I would post a post like this. We won the tests. Whatever his captaincy, I bloody feel proud I'm an Indian because of him! And I'm bloody arrogant that the world wants him. Hats off!

For the bold part, TRY

That itself says that we aren't capable to beat strong teams in Overseas conditions. India won because they played well and not because Australia was weak. They are well capable of upsetting teams so we still can't write them off !!!

Fair enough, very disappointing to see Australian cricket fall within less than a year. With Starc and Hazlewood in terrible form and Smith and Warner missing it was always going to be difficult to beat India, but I didn't think it would've been that badly. All I can hope is that they get it together and find the right players for the World Cup and the Ashes
