After a long time watching a full cricket match (any format) ball by ball and it us turning out to be a last over thriller.
Atleast its isn't a regretting loss . All the batsmen fighted this time . Especially both Pandya brothers , Shankar , Karthik & Pant .
One thing - Why not give Shankar a bowl . When everyone goes for runs , then anyone can bowl even Dhawan

Let us accept the fact we were outplayed by a quality opposition and we have a lot of positives to take from. The Indian limited overs side has played it's potential on this tour. The bowlers were impressive the batsman got runs, we fought hard after a top-order collapse in an ODI at Wellington and most importantly we found the right roles for new players coming in the side. Disappointing things were 92 all out in the 4th ODI at Hamilton and the loss in the 1st T20I at Wellington. I had absolutely no complaints with the loss today. Infact it was an amazing match. I personally feel satisfied with the way we played on this 2 tours that is both Australia and NZ. Nothing is more pleasing to see an Indian side dominate the opposition in Overseas conditions as an Indian fan

Can't agree to it. No side in the world can achieve this on consitent basis. Just hopeful of Dhoni using all Cricket left in him during the WC and gets away from the game with the respect and pride that he deserves[DOUBLEPOST=1549797556][/DOUBLEPOST]

He isn't allowed to bowl by ICC itself

BTW it was a taunt towards the team management including Rohit the captain .
Vijay Shankar came into International cricket with some part time bowling .
He should bowl atleast 1 over , if not more in T20 .

Today he went for it straight away. Your critcism seems unnecessary.
I think you forgot that Vijay Shankar was brought into International Cricket by Rohit himself so it doesn't seem valid to criticize him on this point yet. Everyone is not Kohli to stick only with a certain group of players. Rohit Sharma is a Captain who always backs young players. He didn't bowl him as the need for it wasn't felt. Small boundaries and power hitting can't be controlled by someone with the pace of Vijay Shankar. He would definitely be bowling in future as the recent loses will be considered the next time around
Rohit himself was also responsible
Played a below par innings that day.
112.50 sr at a chase of RRR 11 .
Unacceptable.
Dhoni on the other hand wasted 4 balls
It was noticed that when Pant & Pandya were hoicking the ball around , Rohit was batting sensibly taking a single run . He ensured that if mishap happens he had to stay till the end . And that Mitchell over pressed the pressure upon India quite high . Boundaries were dried up which came effortlessly before . Therefore , I think Rohit was wise enough then to go for a shot & eventually got out .
