Another brain explosion from Taylor, boy hes frustrating for you Kiwi fans and I know the commentators are well and truly frustrated.

That makes it even worse, instant replay from Hamilton.

There was something in the paper about Greatbatch not wanting to rush Williamson in the side. So I'm gonna say no he's not going to be in the team. Ingram is though apparently :facepalm

Averaging 48.8 in FC and 57 in OD at the moment.

Bradburn hopes Williamson won't be rushed in | Stuff.co.nz

Northern Districts coach Grant Bradburn is urging the national selectors to keep their hands off his young batting star Kane Williamson as they desperately search for a first drop for the test series against Australia

He's the best player in the country, but now is not the time to pick him," Bradburn said. "One of the winter tours [Bangladesh, India] would be the perfect timing to inject a young star like him."

Williamson plays well off both feet and after a slow start to the season has now scored 334 first class runs at 41.75. Overall he has scored 1148 runs at 44.15 ? a minimal return in comparison with a run machine like Sinclair ? but his technique is certainly sounder.

"He plays back well to the quicker bowlers and also has a very sound defence. Technically he is the best we've got in the country ? emerging or emerged," Bradburn said. "He's also a great kid, he has come from a good background, he has a very supportive family. So it's all heading in the right direction, but as I say it's a little bit soon in my mind

If he's the best in the country play him IMO.

Bowl short outside off-stump when Vettori walks across.

Oh there we go, I am so smart :D

Commentators now talking about Williamson, I would pick him as the other options aren't much better and have much less room for improvement.

Well at some stage you have to learn what the highest level is all about, the earlier the better IMO. No point spending years thinking you have your game mastered then you play tests and it all changes. Get it early, sort it out. Fail or not, it can only improve your game, unless you are mentally suspect.

Vettori is a smart cricketer and his batting is based on guile as much as his bowling. If he knows what you're doing, then he'll probably know how to make runs off you. What is needed against him is less fixed strategy and more flexible tactics.

How come Howsie's allowed to advertise Williamson for every game but he never allowed me to call for Smith.....

How's the pitch? Can't bee that slow because Haurie's getting hit.

A good length at off stump. When he walks across, bang it short outside off.

Looking at his stats they should have given him a go in this series so he gets a taste.

Styris has been solid as a rock and what a way to bring up the 50. Things aren't looking too bad now 150 in 30 overs, with the usual double your total at this mark you are looking at around 300.

TBF I had a problem with people calling for Smith because he'd only scored one first-class 100 and averaged about 70 with the ball. Williamson's got all the numbers you need plus he's probably the best batsmen we've got.

Ah and again, can nobody from this team go on? :facepalm
